Cleans better than any dishwasher Iv'e had
I bought this dishwasher about a month ago. It was pretty easy to install on took me about an hour. Love how quiet and efficient this dishwasher is. Everything comes out so clean with no spots! The design looks like the much more expensive dishwashers. I would definitely recommend this dishwasher.

I bought this several months ago and it does a great job. Much quieter than any I have had in the past but it does take a long time to complete.

Purchased 4 months ago and are very happy with it. Glassware comes out sparkling and third top rack is great for large utensils. It's so quiet we wonder sometimes if it's running.

What a JOY and relief to have a dishwasher that makes the job easier and SO QUIET!! I had NO IDEA!When discussing with Kitchen aid reps about the HOW TO'S... they clearly guided me through the little nuances, products to BEST wash, and even HOW to stack this new machine!! I LOVE it... AND itLOOKS GREAT! Thank you for my GREAT new appliances!! STILL enjoying the WOW factor!!
Does Not Work
from Greensboro, GA
This dishwasher was installed as part of a new home purchase. The first night in the house, when we tried to use it, the dishwasher did not work. The soap packet was dispensed and then melted in the bottom of the appliance as the dishwasher generated a lot of heat and nothing else. The repairman sent out via the warranty said both the motor and pump were bad and that it was not the first time he'd seen that issue with these dishwashers. We are now trying to get a replacement from the home manufacturer. Had I purchased this appliance I would be returning it and buying a different make and model.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great machine, very quiet and great looking
from Burke, Va
This is our second Kitchenaid dishwasher and believe they are the most dependable out there. Recently, after 15 months it stopped pumping water out and we had to call for repair. They said they would cover even though the warranty was out by 3 months. Beat that! Turned out the problem was piece of glass blocking the outflow pipe and the repair was completed in no time. I could say that the filter system should keep a piece of glass the size of a dime out of the water exits. But perhaps next time if a glass breaks I will need to thoroughly check the pan and filters.
So I had the tech out and here is a quote from him"Examined dishwasher found extensive damage from an overheating runaway condition."I am truly concerned that this unit might start a fire in my house. I phoned Whirlpool in Canada and spoke to the client services. I raised my concerns and all they said is that I have a binding contract with the third party warranty provider and they can and will do nothing. I insisted to get this unit replaced but they want to do nothing. .
