Are you serious? I can take apart the sliding shelf for cleaning. There is hardly any shelving included, besides. Dislike!

Love the refrigerator Hate the Ice Maker

Beautiful refrigerator. Love the middle drawer! We bought this refrigerator for our newly built house. We've used it 3 months. The ice gets hung up in the ice maker. Then we have no ice. Even when it works properly the amount of ice that the bucket is able to hold is minimal. We run out of ice all the time. Now we have to buy ice and keep it in the freezer so when we have company we do not run out.

      VERY DISAPOINTED !!!

Comments about Kitchen-Aid 25.0 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator - Black:

After owning this refrigerator for just under 2 years the ice maker has failed for the second time! The first time it was replaced under warranty, now the warranty period is over so I am back to bagged ice. I refuse to pay to have it repaired again. Plus no matter how many times the ice dispenser is used, after about two - three weeks the ice tray turns into a big solid clump of ice that jams the dispenser resulting in all the ice having to being dumped out into the sink! Now on to the temp control for the center draw, this couldn't be in a worse spot! it gets continually bumped out of the setting every time something is put in the refrigerator and most of what is in it gets frozen and ends up in the trash! The shelf along side of the ice maker is useless unless you want something frozen. To sum up my review, the purchase of the unit is the biggest waste of money I have ever spent, if I could afford to replace it, it would be on its way to the scrap yard!!!! It might look real nice and I have to admit it stores a ton of stuff, but save your hard earned money and buy some other brand or model, also be aware that this ice maker is used in other brand refrigerators.

Tons of storage and fresh veggies

Comments about Kitchen-Aid 25.0 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator - Black:

This is my second one.. y e s..second. the first one I purchased was in a house I sold last year. I hated leaving it but the buyer really loved it. Once I moved into my new house I replaced the refrigerator with this awesome Kitchenaid model. I couldn't live without it. There is so much storage inside. The separate section for fruits and veggies keeps my food fresh for much longer than you would expect. And since you can see it from inside the main fridge you know what you have and it doesn't disappear like in standard refrigerator drawers. The freezer is spacious and overall this is a gorgeous appliance. I love it!!

      Some Flaws

      By davidpinkston

Comments about Kitchen-Aid 25.0 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator - Black:

Nice Refrigerator but it has some flaws. They are: 1. The center drawer has three compartments with dividers for the two outside but none for the larger inside compartment that really needs it. 2. It does not come with manuals and the online version is not readable with chrome pdf reader. If you leave the page they place cookies on your browser so that you cannot get back to them or the specifications. The only way I have found to get back to the manual and specification pages is to remove the cookies from your browser. I may have to load another browser onto my computer just to get the manuals. I find this very annoying. 3. It is very difficult to figure out the digital temperature control panel without the manual and I cussed at them a time or two before I figured it out. It took a bunch of the pleasure out of getting a fancy new on sale $3029 out the door refrigerator. 4. The left door where the water and ice maker is has three levels of shelves. The top two shelves are too small to be useful. The water/ice maker limits them but they could be designed to be much more useful. 5. The filter for the water is not included. Other than that I think it is a pretty good refrigerator.

      Wonderful features

I purchased this referigerator over two months ago and pleased that I did. I enjoy the extra drawer that I pull out to put my snacks in and it makes for easier access. I also enjoy that I program the water dispenser button and fill my container without spilling. I enjoy that I can use both doors to refrigerate a large cake without any problems. My only complaint is having to adjust the shelf after opening a bottle of wine, however if that is the only problem then I should life is not that bad.

Love the refrigerator. Plenty of space. Wish it had a pizza slot in the freezer though. Also, the water and ice levers are a bit firm. That is, you need to push a bit harder on the levers.
