Quality and good value
from Sacramento, CA
Very good value. Good fit and finish with a quality look. Runs quiet. Separate levers for ice and water is a great feature. Loaded wtih features and controls I may never use. Stainless finish has a quality look and is easy to maintain. Drawers work smoothly. Shelves are very sturdy.

We bought this fridge 1.5 years ago. Right on the year mark plus few days we noticed a crack in the liner. Called Kitchen Aid, they said the warranty was expired and they can do nothing without me buying extended warranty. So I called the store I bought it from and they said they will take care of it. 6 months passed nothing so far. Then the right side door seems not to close tight and the food is going bad. The doors are not lined up (or level) if you look at the fridge from the side. The freezer door is sticking out more than the fridge door. Over all, disappointed with this Kitchen Aid purchase.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Crack in fridge after 1 year.
Absolutely beautiful fridge!

Been through many GE appliances, and they all failed. So far, we love this fridge. We still have space in it AND it's the same size as our GE that was the same size. The only flaw is the icemaker is slow/small. Not a deal breaker one bit.

01/11/15 I bought this KitchenAid Fridge. It was not installed until 04/01/15 in my new kitchen. 4 times the icemaker has broken in 6 months. Also the fridge door would not close, seal and was not flush with freezer door. The repairmen, meaning 4 different men have come to my house to repair. KitchenAid will not replace the fridge. I have called the place where I bought it and nothing is being done. Now, the last repair man that came yesterday made the doors flush but he had to drill extra holes in the bracket above and the screws show. For such an expensive refrigerator the quality is lacking and KitchenAid only is making it worse by not holding up to a high standard.

We've had our Maytag fridge for over 20 years and while we could have given it a bit more life, we decided to go the stainless steel route. The features on this fridge including the ability to set a fill level are very nice to have. The fridge has a lot of space in both compartments (compared to our Maytag) and while it makes some interesting "robotic noises" when opening and closing the fridge, we really are enjoying it. We are trusting in the Kitchenaid brand and the quality. Overal really like the look and features of this fridge - and space.

Attractive, good interior design

We are very pleased with this refrigerator. One problems: need to be careful in closing hydrator drawers otherwise, drawers don't slide in easily.

We received our new refrigerator on Aug 31, 2015 & took about a week to get used to its lay out & features. Our one gripe is the door bins. There is no where in the owner's manual stating that the standard bin can only be place in the lower half of the door & the gallon bins can only be placed in the upper half of the door. We do not like this arrangement as it does not give the user freedom to arrange the bins to his liking & feel it could be dangerous in a household with children. After talking with one of your customer service reps he agreed & would send us another standard bin.

I love the space and easy viewing of all the food in the Refrigerator and Freezer.I wish, however, that there was a greatercapacity for ice, and that it could be made more quickly.

We purchased this refrigerator when we bought a new home March of 2014 and have been waiting to write the review. (I prefer to use the product for some time before committing to performance.) We have had multiple issues with this model. First, a ding in the door when delivered, new door arrives and it looks used (scratched and insulation hanging out). Second door arrives and we are happy with the appearance. About 2 months later I notice the refrigerator door will not close unless really pushed shut. Another service call for replacement of hinges. Then the ice maker quits, serviced, not one time, but three times and every time it was a different repair. Replacement of the display screen and I believe some kind of computer module finally fixed the ice maker issue. Holding my breath as it is time to replace the water filter again and in the past this has initiated the ice maker problem. Not only the hinges need to be replaced, as mentioned above, but also the rollers. The service technicians were having trouble moving in and out. I finally asked one if that was normal and he said, "No". So I suggested that they be replaced, as I might want to move it out someday and clean behind it. There is always moisture along the interior wall of the refrigerator on the freezer side. Service man adjusted defrost mode a little, but there was no change. It is something I decided to just put up with. One good thing, there is plenty of lighting, but it is very difficult to find anything. I did not notice (my bad) that the shelves cannot be adjusted, and I feel that there are two shelves that are so close together I can't see what is on them. I call the one under the deli tray the "secret shelf", because if I want to hide any food, that is the place to do it. Also, it drives my family crazy that you can not fill a glass with water and open the refrigerator door at the same time. I have been very disappointed in this refrigerator. Went with KitchenAid because of the counter depth KitchenAid in old house, but I can't get as much food in this one.
