Comments about Kitchen-Aid 27" Single Electric Wall Oven - Stainless Steel:
I wish that I had never purchased this oven. I had my previous oven for 20 years and had no problem until the self clean quit working....the oven itself was still going. But, I wanted that feature and to keep white appliances, so I bought this higher-priced oven (in spite of the fact that I did not care to purchase the convection feature) simply because it looked more attractive than other brands I looked at. The first time I used the self clean feature, which also was after the warranty was up, the finish/paint on the door's exterior began warping at the bottom of the see-thru part and also the area between the exterior and interior of the oven door turned really nasty looking and the only way to clean it would be to take the door all apart and risk breaking the very fragile glass. VERY UNHAPPY after paying such a high price for it!!!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Kitchenaid 27 inch convection oven
By kitenaid oven
This is a wonderful oven easy to work with, looks great, although it has a fan that keeps running after you shut the oven down for 15 minutes.

What amazes me most is how much more room this oven has inside, compared to my old one that had almost the same outside dimensions. I love having 3 racks that glide so easily. The oven heats to 400 in 10 minutes! I wish there was a way for me to tell on our gas bill how much we have saved! (another favorite feature is the blue interior!)
This oven is great.

I bought this oven about 6 months ago. No problems with installation and the it fuctions great. I love the convection feature that allows us, for example, to cook cookies on multiple levels and have them all come out cooked the same
Disappointing, flawed design!
Purchased the end of January, I want my 20yr old KA range back! In the mad race to 'energy efficiency" this oven is not adequately vented, holding moisture in the oven; inconsistent baking--rt rear & left front too dark, opposites light on convection; frozen pies usually baked 400 for 60min have burned sugar edges & crusts (3rd time I tried 375 for 45min, & got decent product, but slightly undercooked crust. Whirlpool & dealer offering no reciprocation, since nothing is WRONG...(except major design flaw!) with oven! We are told to buy American, however, USA mfg is sorely in need of a return to true consumer service! By profession, I was a Home Economics teacher, still active in a professional group of HE retirees keeping up with trends in the fields & raising scholarships for those in Family & Consumer Sciences. Get back on the track for good product manufacturing!

The oven whistles during preheat, cooking and cooling down. It is loud and annoying.
First time to purchase Kitchenaid Products
from Fort Worth,Tx
My wife and I remolded our kitchen and replaced all appliances with Kitchenaid . Our kitchen came out great and the black Kitchenaids appliances made everything even more beautiful. We had a learning curve in using the new appliance, but it has been 20 years since we bought any new appliances. We are very happy with Kitchenaid and hope we get the same long term service that we had with our other appliances. This is our first time to buy Kitchenaid products. So far they have met our expectation .

I have had my convection wall oven for about 3 months and have used it at least 3 times each week. It offers acurate heat and the convection feature does not brown the top item more than the other shelves. The baking/roasting is consistent throughout the shelves. The broil feature is outstanding. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of 5 is that it takes awhile to heat up, so if I am in a hurry I heat it on convection and then switch to regular bake after it reaches the desired temperature. You also have to press the start button after you select a method of cooking and the temperature. That is something I did not have to do with my old oven and a few times in the beginning I forgot to hit start and the oven had not heated up when I thought it was on. The oven offers you the option to convert a recipe temperature to convection bake from the orginal temperature. This is a nice option but you have to answer a couple yes/no questions to do this and I find that a little annoying.
Son of Superba is Super
from Cape Cod
We bought the Superba Architect Series II in December 2013 to replace our old Kitchen Aid Superba which finally died after 25 years of dependable service. The new Superba has worked out wonderfully. It fit into the old built-in space but the cooking area is slightly larger due to the improvements in insulation and the digital software instead of the old analog style. The biggest change has been learning what the buttons do, but that was easy as well.
