Double oven is great!
from New Jersey, United States
Comments about KitchenAid Kitchen-Aid 29.937" Free Standing Electric Range - Black with Stainless Steel:
I bought this range about 2 months ago. It does not have the same features that the Maytag Gemini range I had prior to this range had which I feel are very nice to have.. The Maytag had a toasting feature on the top oven and two timers which come in handy with the two ovens. Also the two burners in the back don't heat up very much. The only burner that can quickly boil water and maintain a rolling boil is the one in the front that has an ultra high setting.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Kitchenaid is the best brand

When I told my husband I wanted all stainless steel with Kitchen Aid, he said, "why if it's so expensive" and I replied "because I want appliances that last 20+ years" :)
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Like the ovens

I especially like the double oven feature. Both ovens are easy to use and work very well. The top oven is great for broiling. Easy to reach and the broiler heat is even and quick. This is our first glass top range and that feature took a little getting used to, For example, it takes longer to boil water than before. Overall, a nice improvement over our old oven range,

We bought this stove about a month ago, we do love it,the racks are heavy duty and the concept of the twin ovens is great. The only flaw would be the lower rack of the upper oven hits the door when you pull it out.this is a design problem. The rack on the lower oven that pulls out farther is great, would be nice if all the racks did that.

I bought this a few months ago and I am so happy I did! I love how you can set two different temperatures for the top and bottom oven.

Jeana and Nick's stove
I love the look of the oven. I haven't been real happy with the speed of things heating up on the cooktop. Seems really slow. Also, same with preheating the oven. Seems to take longer than my old stove. Otherwise I really like the oven.
Great stove, love the two ovens.

We've had this for two years - love it!

Love the glass control panel: much more durable than the plastic of most other brands. The upper oven heats up super fast.

Far too gadgety. Looks cool on the show room floor but is not functional. For example, one burner has three elements on one dial. This creates a very small span of adjustment so essentially the element is either on or off without much adjustment in between. The other large element has a two function dial with one side for moderately low to ultra high and the other side ultra low to high......what? How about ultra low to ultra high. You will drive yourself nuts trying to figure out the difference and make simple temperature adjustments. With all this, they fail to provide a key pad that allows quick adjustment to oven temperature........you have reenter the temperature each time you want to increase or decrease. It makes for a complicated process for cooking a simple meal. If you are jet fighter pilot you might get a kick out of it.
