Cooks beautifully and evenly. finally a 30" cooktop that has an easily accessible large/variable cooking surface. Only reserve is it does require more diligent cleaning as surface is so shiny it shows food/spots very easily.

So far so good. Heats up fast. Looks great. Love the real metal knobs. Better than plastic.

So easy to use
from Cleburne TX
So beautiful! But, alas! After just a few uses I just couldn't clean it. Looked spotty and was already showing a scratch although I didn't use iron skillet or anything like that. Was a real pain but had to return it Cooked great but not at all satisfied as it looked "used" after just a few uses. Couldn't revive the new look.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Don,t like it
from Miami, Fl
Hate my new cooktop, small burners on the back, behind the big burner, very uncomfortable to use, surface gets dirty fast and hard to clean, if place something hot on top of the controls it shuts down, don't recomend it.
New KitchenAid Appliances

We have had KitchenAid appliances for years. We relocated and remodeled our kitchen and installed a new KitchenAid dishwasher, convention wall oven and microwave/convection oven combination and cook top. We could not be more pleased. All appliances are performing flawlessly and look great. We have not gotten a new refrigerator yet but look forward to getting a KitchenAid French door unit also.
Falls short of Kitchenaid quality

I have the Kitchenaid high end refrigerator and love it. When my 20-year GE Profile glass stovetop quit working, I got the stovetop by Kitchenaid. Don't like it at all. Good points..it is beautiful. It has great sized burners that heat up quickly. The stove has no knobs so it is easy to clean...kinda. You have to push the control lock if you want to do any scrubbing on it. Bad points...I don't like the one control for all the burners. It is a slide type you run your finger on. Not accurate and too sensitive. Worst, however, is that the large burners are supposed to simmer on the simmer setting:. They don't simmer. They just warm. (There is a warm and a melt setting for all the burners, btw.) Using the slide bar to get a simmer, 3 is too high and 2 is too low, so the pot requires near constant attention. The small eyes do simmer, though. Just the large ones are afflicted. I wish I could take it back for a more accurate range top that is easier to use. I also miss a built in timer that my old stovetop had. Sorry, Kitchenaid. You need to fire this designer and try again.
30" Electric Cooktopo

Cooking part is good, however I'ts hard to along the pots and pans on the burner unless its lit up and seems to show dirt/grim much more than my previous cooktop. also should have a burner further the front on right side.
Looks Beautiful, cooks lousy.

I purchased my cooktop a year ago after spending much time checking and reading about cooktops. I had the coils which I loved. I cannot get the burner adjusted-either too hot, or not hot enough. I love the feature of two burners with adjustable sizes and I use those. But I tell it to cook at say #7 and it will be on 3 or 4 or 5 in a few minutes. I had coils that I could set for a temperature, say 350, and it would stay there. They don't make that stove anymore. I am always afraid I am going to drop something or break it. I have a friend who did. I would love to have my old cooktop back (in new condition, of course.) I have been replacing all of my original GE appliances with Kitchenaid. So far, I have been pleased with the dishwasher, oven, ice machine, and disposal. Disappointed in cooktop.
