I am happy with it. Easy to clean with a Magic cooktop cleaner.

The front left burner is where I cook most. Unfortunately, the element heats unevenly, so food burns on the bottom of the pan in one area on the right side. The burner was replaced once by the appliance dealer to correct this problem. The replacement burner does exactly the same thing. It is also very slow to boil a pot of water. Even if I put a lid on the pot, it take ~20 minutes to boil. I also find the graphics for the dials difficult to see. They are so tiny and without adequate contrast against the black glass. I wish I had coils again instead.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Cooking with "gas"
from St Louis, MO, United States
I love this stove! The temperature settings are like cooking with gas, but with electric. It responds to the slightest temperature setting change immediately. When things do spill over, they wipe right up and aren't burned to the surface like with my old cook top. It is also FAST, it brings my full tea kettle to a whistling boil in less than 5minutes. Only reason it doesn't get five stars is the hubs are sometimes hard to see & pans slide around too easily. Make the printing brighter and thicker (to create some resistance for pans) and it would be a five star for sure.
Great features; easy to keep clean

We've had ceramic cooktops in the past and found them to be difficult to keep clean. An induction cooktop does not burn food on the cooktop like a regular ceramic cooktop does; it cleans with just a wipe. Appropriate cookware is needed for induction cooking, but we're very happy we made the switch to induction.
cooks to perfection!

I bought a Kitchen Aid Induction Cooktop and I love it - it goes to highest heat immediately, then turns down to lowest of lows instantly. It sautés better than gas, simmers better than electric and you can clean up spills around a pot while it's still cooking. Highly recommend it!
Don't miss this one.

I have the advantage of being in the foodservice business. I purchased stand alone induction cooking units 6 yrs. ago and have literally gone away from any other cooking option. Imagine boiling over pasty water or a cheese sauce that just wipes up with a paper towel, without scrubbing, ANYTHING. No "hot" tops to worry about with small children running in the kitchen. Energy efficient, quicker time to boil and sauté. Sure you need a pot or pan that magnets stick to but you'll appreciate the better quality of the pan and it will last longer and will not warp as they do on ceramic cooktops when you set the burner higher than necessary. And they said Star Wars hade all the neat high tech stuff.

I've had this a couple of weeks and I'm very impressed with the speed. It boils 2 cups of water in 2 minutes.

I had always wanted a gas stove until I researched induction cooktops. This one meets and exceeds my expectations. Amazing to have instant heat under a cooking pot. I was pleasantly surprised at how much of my cookware worked with the induction elements. Highly recommend.

This is our first induction range and we will never go back to ceramic or halogen. It is a perfect combination of style and function.
