Cannot recommend this range, aqualift or induction cooking

Comments about KitchenAid 30" Free Standing Electric Range - Stainless Steel:
We have had this for 3 years. We have had problems with the controls, feature not available, oven shutting off by itself. The biggest issue is cleaning. Aqualift is useless. It will only get rid of minor, not baked on food. If you bake or roast a lot and get baked on food you will need to find away to remove it and they don't recommend any cleaning solution. I am a big bread baker and do like the breadproofing setting. However, in baking bread and using very high temperatures, it seemed to develop a burning smell. No amount of cleaning using Aqualift would get rid of the smell. We did buy an extended warranty from KitchenAid and had two service calls for the electronics and smell. The tech said the smell was just from baked on food. He suggestion using a cleaner for the baked on food. For the electronics they had to replace a circuit board which needed to be ordered. We ended up using a commercial cleaner which solved the problem but may have removed the aqualift covering. Recently the burned smell has come back. Induction cooking is a great concept which I like, but it is difficult finding quality cookware that works with induction. Especially non-stick cookware. This oven was very expensive so I cannot recommend it. I cannot recommend Aqualift and hope that they find an alternative. With the smell returning, we decided to buy a new range, electric stove top and use this as our backup as we do a lot of cooking.

I can't believe what a wonderful stove this is. I can even proof my bread in it. It has everything you would want in a stove.

So far, it has been good as far as cooking but I don't like the glass top. It's hard to keep clean and I have some scratches on it from trying to clean it. Is there an easy way to clean the glass top? I would love to hear about that if there is.

This was my first self-selected range for us in our 35 years of marriage. I thought I had made a wise choice but it wasn't. I received a gift of new cookware made especially for induction ranges . The burners don't work consistently. The large burner seldom works and the other three randomly work. One may work today but not the next day. The oven sometimes gives the message "Feature not available" and will not come on. I purchased a 5 year extended warranty. Serviceman came, ordered parts and I am still waiting for one part that has been on back order for months. I am very disappointed in this Kitchenaid product.

I bought this same model in white KERS303WHO in 2013 and hardly ever used the oven. The first time I went to use the AquaLift Self Cleaning Mode I smelled burning wires and the oven automatically shut off. After unplugging it for 10 minutes I tried to bake a frozen pizza, but no heat. I found a little packet "For Service Technician's Use Only" and ran the diagnostic mode only to extract the error code F6 E1 RUNAWAY TMP and saw that the warranty expires after a year. Living in a remote rural area I can not afford $285.00 plus the service call for the temperature sensor and timer circuit board replacement.

I've never used a convection oven before, but I really love this one!
I bought this range because we could not get a gas appliance where we moved. My contractor had several set backs while remodeling the house so the range sat in storage for about 10 months before installing it. I had trouble right off trying to find cookware that would consistently operate on all of the burners. Even though the cookware said induction, it might work on one burner but not another. Then the next day it might work another burner but not the one as the day before. The oven decides when it wants to work. I got "Feature not Available" a lot. Now it won't come on at all, but the warming drawer works! I bought an extend warranty but since we are in a rural area the company handling my extended warranty can't find anyone to service it. They said that if I can find someone, they will 'reimburse' me. Still looking for that someone. This was my first purchase of a range, and I am really disappointed. I need an appliance that works every time!

I bought this just over a month ago, and I love it. It was marked down and when I got it home there was a couple of flaws that I didn't notice on the display floor, the glass in the door had a streak inside that I can't clean and the back of the knobs had a crack in the surface. I didn't know since it was a close out if I had any options to have it made right.

I used to have a gas self cleaning oven which took about 4 hours to clean. this oven takes about an hour, you need to put water on the bottom of oven, does not clean thoroughly. totally unsatisfied with this feature.
