Comments about KitchenAid 30" Free Standing Electric Range - Stainless Steel:
We bought this stove with the dual ovens a little over a month ago and am I happy! I have even started baking again. I just made two loaves of banana nut bread. My kitchen stayed cool and my husband reaped the benefits. I am really enjoying having a good stove again.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It's a great oven

We purchased two identical units and both have met our expectations. Love the double oven but miss the storage drawer. Would have preferred stainless steel but that is my personal preference.

I wish I had given more credence to some of the more critical reviews of this range. I put it down to user inexperience or fluke defect, and I shouldn't have.I have been using the range for about 6 weeks now. It's beautiful, no doubt about that. However, here are the issues I've found to be problematic:1. The stove top is really impossible to keep clean-looking. It shows every speck of dust, pollen, water droplet, etc. No matter how diligent you are about polishing, it won't look sleek and clean for long at a time, even when you aren't using it.2. The stove top burners. This is the biggest problem for me. Please pay attention and don't disregard what others have said about the stove top.Except for the Ultra Hi burner, the others are very weak. It takes FOREVER to bring something to a boil on the other burners, and then if you add something like frozen veggies or pasta, it again takes FOREVER for them to come back to a boil.I have tried every type of pot you can think of, thinking the pot might be the problem; I've made sure my pot size was appropriate for the burner size. It made no difference whatsoever. When I normally would have used med-low in the past to saute, say, chicken breasts in olive oil, I now have to use medium high.I had another glass stovetop range for 20 yrs, and even on its last legs, its burners far outperformed these. These burners are extremely weak, and I so wish I'd paid attention to the reviews complaining about that.3. The stovetop is so slick that pots literally slide on it with the slightest touch. For that reason alone, I would stay away from this range if you have children.4. The burner outlines are difficult to see when you're cooking. Between that and the sliding issue, I have to check often to be certain my pot is still centered on the burner.5. The upper oven. As others mentioned, foods do tend to over-brown on the bottom when using the upper oven.6. You have to be extremely careful putting food in the upper oven as there is very, very little clearance for your hand. It would be nice if the oven opened even just an inch further to insure you don't burn yourself. Those things said, I DO love having two ovens. And the range itself is gorgeous.I hate to leave a negative review, but this is a big purchase for a lot of us, and I want others to take the reviews seriously and not assume it's a user issue, as I did.I am heartbroken over the performance of the stovetop burners. I expected so much more from KitchenAid. I have given this more than 6 weeks, have tried everything I can think of, and it's clear to me now that others were right. It's not user error or an isolated defect -- there is a problem with the stovetop burners on this model.

LOVE my new stove!
from Edgerton, WI
I did not want an induction range or care about a convection oven. My husband likes all the new things and insisted we get one, so we found one we could agree on, out new Kitchen Aid :) I got some wonderful new pans to work on because the right pans make cooking on the induction stove-top a joy to use. It is really fast and so easy to control the temperature. I am having wonderful results from my convection oven as well!
This stove is very nice and I love the two ovens

I replaced my almond Maytag with this stainless steel, with most of the same features. I love the idea of the oven elements being covered. I don't feel that the glass time cleans well, tho, not as well as the Maytag

This is the second Kitchenaid range I've bought, and I am happy with it. However, I am disappointed in the placement of both the large burners in the front of the stovetop, which is a HUGE hazard for homes with small children (pulling large pots with boiling water off). Also, the left front burner doesn't stay hot enough (even when in "Dual" mode, and on "High") to keep a pot of water boiling after pasta has been added. Other than those two issues, it is a good product. The oven and stovetop all heat up quickly, with even heat. I would recommend it if there was a small burner in the front and a large burner in the back (instead of all large being in the front, and all the small ones in the back).
Stainless Steel Range with Updated Look

I was in need of a new range and had purchased a counter depth KitchenAid refrigerator less than 2 years ago. Very happy with my refrigerator so decided to purchase a new KitchenAid range and dishwasher. Love both the new products. The range interior space is very roomy and can accommodate a very large turkey at Thanksgiving time. The burners on top heat up quickly providing nice even heat. The look really brings a nice updated look to my 16 year old kitchen.
Excellent Kitchen Appliance!

In the month we have had the range in our kitchen, it has seen a fair amount of use and there have been no problems. It did require a slight learning curve, but in no time we were using it like we had owned it for years. Very well constructed and outstanding ease of operation!

I LOVE THE QUICK BURNERS ON THIS RANGE. I DO WISH IT HAD A WHITE TOP AS OPPOSED TO A BLACK(SHOWS LESS DUST, ETC), SO FAR IT'S DOING GREAT.
