      I wish I'd known . . .

Comments about KitchenAid Kitchen-Aid 30" Single Electric Wall Oven - Stainless Steel:

I love my double ovens, but there are a couple of things I wish I had known before it was installed. I would have made the same purchase--I'm very please with the double oven, but I wish I had known two things: 1) the fan runs long after the oven is turned off to keep the electronics cool in the control panel above the upper oven. Don't worry about it. I looked to turn it off somehow for quite a while until I called my supplier and found out it was nothing to worry about. 2) The light goes on in both ovens. You cannot turn the light on in one or the other. Turn on the light and both ovens are lit. It isn't a problem, really; it just would have been nice to know. I am surprised at how often I use both ovens. I hadn't realized how convenient it is to have two!

We find that the units are much more noisier then past units, while they are in use and when they are cooling off.

      Everything But the Noise

Comments about KitchenAid Kitchen-Aid 30" Single Electric Wall Oven - Stainless Steel:

This combination microwave/wall oven looks nice, and the control pad is pretty intuitive. We are happy in all respects except one: When you turn on the oven, a fan comes on, and it is extremely loud. It's a roar that makes it hard to carry on a normal conversation anywhere within 15 feet. We thought it might be a defect with this particular item, but when we Googled the problem, it appears that it's common to this model.

Great oven with more interior space that I imagined.

Love the 4 racks and the bottom rack that is on rails. Cooks beautify. The only knock is that it takes some time to reach temperature, not really used to waiting that long, but otherwise good solid product.

I bought this a month ago. It takes awhile to learn all the features but is well worth it! I feel like Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten, now. It does take awhile to preheat though

      Convection Combination Microwave Wall Oven

      By Steve45

Comments about KitchenAid Kitchen-Aid 30" Single Electric Wall Oven - Stainless Steel:

Purchased and installed this unit two months ago. We are using the upper combo oven more and more. It's size is perfect for most of our dishes. We find the smaller upper convection oven heats up really fast and cooks just as well as the lower convection oven. Also super handy when used as a microwave for quick defrosting and heating up leftovers.

      takes some getting used to

      By fashnachtlady

Comments about KitchenAid Kitchen-Aid 30" Single Electric Wall Oven - Stainless Steel:

I have been using this unit for about 9 months. Lessons learned: don't bake anything that can be 'wind-blown' in the top convection oven; when using both ovens at same time use removable thermometers to check temperature - one oven or the other often shuts off; rapid pre-heat on the upper oven can be 'forced' by choosing 'convect bake' then 'no' to convert (once it's pre-heated, you can cancel upper and start over to convert). It is a little loud while working and cooling off; we just talk louder, it's not a big deal for our family.
