Range works fine
from Ashby, MN
Comments about KitchenAid 30" Slide-In Electric Range - White on White:
What I don't like is the noise the blow fan makes coming through the vent system. It is a continuous whistle the whole time the oven is on. It is not the convection fan. This can't be normal. Been told by company that that is normal. I find it hard to believe.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The greatest feature for me is the stove top,I love that is sits above the countertop and has beveled edges making clean up extremly easy.

I enjoy cooking on the range. My first electric one in years. Fan to cool electronics could be a little quieter. Oven cooks great. Stove top nice. Cleans easily. I did my own installation. Quick and easy.

Doesn't go the distance.
from Lawton, OK
Purchased this about 2 1/2 years ago. First thing I noticed was you need to keep the directions book on hand because unless you use certain cooking features on a regular basis you won't remember how to use them. The different cooking features it has could be a bit different so when you look at the touch panel you can tell exactly what to do for each feature. Another problem I've had is when I clean the stove the ink wipes off the knobs. Now the left rear cooking element quit working yesterday. I placed a pot on there to melt butter, which it did. Then to reheat it I turned the element back on a bit later but it would not work. I feel that for the amount of money this is sold for I should not have any problems whatsoever until after the five year mark. So based on my experience Kitchenaid fell far short of my expectations. Will look for a different brand of stove.
The exhaust fan on this range is very annoying
from Ponte Vedra, FL 32082, USA
The range came with a scratched cooktop which had to be replaced immediately. Then I found that the exhaust fan made a very high pitched noise when the oven was on. I was finally able to get that replaced , although I was told it would probably not be much better.... it is definitely better, but I would certainly not buy another Kitchen Aid range of this kind. Finally even though I have removed one rack, it still takes 20 minutes to preheat to a 350 temperature, a very long time.

This product has great featurs
from Savannah Georgia
We had to replace the entire circuit board 3 times & the 4th time I said no way. We want a new Range. Lucky for us we had an extended warranty------that is the only way to go. This Range the set up; is more user friendly----easy to set up the clock----temp settings------clean oven. The knobs for the heating element's on the glass top are numbered from 10 to 1 besides high or low. The design on this Range is high teck. & easy to use. The range was delivered & installed in less than 5 minutes & so far I would recommend this to any one.
Overall excellent range
from Huntsville, AL
We recently purchased this KitchenAid, white, smooth top, electric slide-in range to replace an ancient stove in a house we purchased. Overall, we love it. It is beautiful to look at, being the only range we have ever seen that has a white smooth top vs a black one. It is easy to keep clean, much to our surprise, and the speed at which it heats up the top elements is remarkable. We love all the bells and whistles, the dual burners, the many levels of heat for the cooktop, the convection oven feature and of course, the warming drawer. Controls are easy to find and operate. We have only 2 minor complaints. The sounds that signal that the preset temp has been reached in the oven or that the timer is finished, even though set as high as they can go, are not audible more than a few feet away from the range. This is primarily because of our second small complaint - the oven is loud. Even when not on convection, there is a fan that runs continuously and can be heard in the next room. This is a first for us. Our previous stove, a Jenn-Air, which we had to leave in our previous home due to its color, had all of the features of this stove but did not have a loud fan. I am assuming this is a "feature not a bug" but it is annoying. Hopefully, we will get used to it. The oven bakes well so far and though we haven't tested its calibration, it seems to operate as desired. We love the hot surface warning on the cooktop. The burners stay warm much longer than you would expect so this is an excellent safety feature. So, as stated, this is an excellent range and we could recommend it to others without hesitation.
