Comments about Kitchen-Aid 36.2187" Gas Cooktop - Stainless Steel:
I love the size of the 5 burners. Just a little hard to get the stainless steel clean and to keep the rest clean.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Replaced older four burner unit with this upgraded 5 burner unit in the same space. Easy to use with great diversity due to the different ranges of BTU's across the different burners. So far is easy to keep clean.

I bought it a month ago and we are pleased with it.
Superb Functionality with no Fuss clean-up

Bought the 36" 5 Burner Architect II gas cooktop to compliment the other KitchenAid appliances in our kitchen (refrigerator, dishwasher, convection microwave and oven combo). We replaced another premium brand cooktop that worked okay, but had reliability and cleanibility issues. The burner performance is outstanding. The dual step large center burner works fantastic for quickly boiling large pots of water for corn on the cob, or simmering a big pot of pasta sauce on very low heat for hours. The range of temperatures across the five burners is tremendous. The integrated grate design allows for easy sliding of heavy pots and pans from one location to another. A real benefit to those who cook in large quantities. The clear coated stainless steel makes clean up a simple damp sponge affair. Seems to be impervious to minor scratches as well - a real problem with out previous cooktop. Highly recommend this cooktop to the serious chef and to those influenced by design, beautiful, and functionality.
Great performing cooktop.
We are extremely please withe this cooktop and it'performane. The large center burner is very cool.
I am pleased with the design and how easy the stove top is to use
I bought this cooktop about 2 months ago and today the repairman is coming to fix one of the front burners that is not working properly. Also, I didn't realize it when I bought it but, the burners are too close and I am not able to use the back burners if I am using the front ones. The pans won't fit. They are only 71/2 inches apart from the center of the burners. I am so unhappy with my choice! The burners should at least be 9" apart!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Purchased 6 months ago but we only used it for the first time two weeks ago. My wife absolutely loves it.
Really, really nice stove top and everything works well so far. Sometimes I wish there was more space when I have more than 2 or 3 pots on the stove but it works out (a big pan and a big pot can be bigger than the depth of the stove).
