Looks Great - Works Great - Sucks to install
from Mesa, AZ
Comments about KitchenAid KXI4336YSS Range Hood:
I would recommend this to a friend if it installed better and it didn't have a minimum distance from the ceiling. Looks beautiful but the install instructions suck and the final finish is somewhat lacking.Functions great... for almost $2k, I expect more. Sorry.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Super ventilation. Quiet. Classy look for our island and KitchenAid 36-inch gas range.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I bought this 3 months ago as we could not have a range with down draft vent. I was worried it was going to be big, bulky and noisy! To my surprise it was not big and bulky and it was not noisy at all. The lighting is adjustable as well as the fan.

Looks great in black stainless!
from La Porte
Works great and looks even better matching with the rest of my black stainless kitchen aid appliances. Only downfall is the installation. It's very difficult and the screws it came with aren't really great quality. Had to buy my own.

Very poor product

I am telling you if I am the CEO if this company who ever designed it and wrote instruction manual will be fired from their job immediately.I bought Gas Stove and vent together and let me tell you they are not cheap. That's fine but at least put product worth the price. Here are the issues1. Instruction manual: You can't follow anything. There are around 20 to30 pieces and around 50 to 70 screws of different shapes and size no numbering or clear instructions. It's big puzzle.2. Kitchen Aid logo upside down: So to add to the confusion, kitchen aid logo was upside down. I guess if there goal was to give challenging puzzle woo! Hoo! Job well done See the attached picture.3. Night Light: Wow! The engineer who put it together should not be even allowed to work in electrical field. They generate so much heat that you could burn your fingers even if you get close to it. When I asked service guy, he told me we don't recommend to use them. I was speechless… that's one of the feature advertised.I am telling you run away from it as fast as you can. I have no choice as I bought it online through partner program. I f I could return it, I would return it in heartbeat.

It's beautiful and works great. Downside is nowhere in the specifications was there information on the exact height of the chimney. I had an eight foot ceiling and ended up having to build a chimney on my roof to fit the exhaust pipe in in order to mount the hood higher than my chin
Great exhaust system for island cooktop
from Las Vegas, NV, United States
Not easy to install, but after a few trial errors we finally succeeded. One of the mistakes we made was to install a dumper wrong way. This overhead exhaust system was much more effective than our noisy downdraft fan.

This product has great style and lights. Much too loud for everyday kitchen -even on the lowest setting.
