Comments about KitchenAid 36" Ducted Range Hood - Stainless Steel:
This hood was part of a KitchenAid appliance package installed in our new home. It looks good and seems to work fine after three weeks. I had a similar KitchenAid hood in our old house and liked it a lot. Hope it is easy to keep clean!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Broken Control Box over and over again!
My control panel where the on off switch is keeps on breaking bc it is made of plastic. It becomes separated from the unit. It was repaired 3 times, after which I asked for a real remedy. Whirlpool said they could only replace it with a new one. I got the new one installed, same model, but within 2 months the control panel again broke and separated from the main unit! There is a major design flaw! Heat from range makes plastic break easily, and the plastic is what is holding the control panel in place! Kitchen aid needs to redesign this and come up with a permanent stronger steel fix for this unit.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
