Comments about KitchenAid 5 Speed Ultra Power Hand Mixer - Black:
I got this product for Christmas just recently opened it and there were no beaters in it so I can't really rate it but I'm going to rate it as low as possible because I can't use it
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

beware of plastic pieces
from twin cities, mn
This mixer had been quite good until yesterday when my wife was making cookies for our son's birthday and noticed a small chip of plastic in one of the cookies. We examined the mixer and noticed that plastic piece into which the mixers insert had chipped off. Fortunately, we think we found all the pieces but it was startling to say the least. We have a Kitchenaid dishwasher and refrigerator so this isn't an indictment of the brand, just our mixer.

Bought this as a starter mixer for my daughter, but this has no power at all.
KitchenAid is the only way to go!

My husband got this for me for Christmas after I was complaining that I didn't have a hand mixer for a recipe. I have a KitchenAide mixer and it is the most amazing thing that I own but there are still a few things that require a hand mixer. I used it the second day I got it and it works like a charm and it is hot pink what is not to love???
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought this a month ago and have used it for baking. It works great, lots of power, mixed/blends very thoroughly. Bought it for use in our RV while I have the color coordinating mixer in the home. I am very impressed with this product!!!

We loved this hand mixer because it was quieter than other mixers and worked well. However, the other day I was mixing pancake batter (no nuts; just plain batter), and the inner mechanism holding the left beater broke, leaving a small piece of white plastic and a tiny metal ring in the pancake batter. The mixer now only holds one beater. We like to pay more for an item when we know it will last long-term. This mixer is nice to use; it just isn't very durable.

Keep your old mixer
from St. Paul, MN
I bought my 5 speed Kitchen Aid hand mixer a few years ago and yes it does still work. That is good. But my old mixer was made so much better. The beaters in the Kitchen Aid are so thin that they hardly beat the batter. Also the 5 speeds seem hardly different one from the other. If I had to do it over again I would not purchase this new mixer I would keep the older one.

I ordered this hand mixer to arrive in time to cook our Thanksgiving dinner and couldn't be more pleased! It is affordable without sacrificing quality. 5 speeds made for easy mixing and whipping, not to mention the ease of using and cleaning it. The color is even prettier in person. You won't regret this purchase!

Broken weld during Holiday

Was happy with this until the beater weld broke during holiday baking. Seems this is a common problem.
