The motor head is shaking and the pouring shield is not fit
I got this on 1/28/2016, I open it on next day and I find out the pouring shield did not fit the bowl, I try to force it make fit thr bowl and it pop out itself, it won't stay on. When I try to make some buns today, the motor head is shaking badly and making a lot sound. I think the lock did not do a good job and it losing when in use, I try to contact the seller, they are closed today. I will try again Monday see what I have to do! But I am very disappointed how this product has a good rating. And they didn't inspect good before packaging.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Love Love Love It!

I never thought I'd own a KitchenAid just because they are so costly... It has been one of the best appliances I've ever bought! I absolutely love it! These stand mixers are worth every penny!
I'm giving this one 10 stars...

The bowl has the wrong diameter for the shield
I bought a set with the Artisan mixer and a pouring shield.Unfortunately the diameters are mismatched. As a result it is not possible to mix without making a mess. Unfortunately, KA did not offer any solution. The reviews of the shield all confirm this problem:http://www.kitchenaid.com/shop/-%5BKN1PS%5D-400534/KN1PS/

My husband purchased this for me as a Christmas gift. I never knew how much time I could save and how much better tasting my baked goods would be. So glad I have it.

This mixer was supposed to be my ideal proposal gift from my future husband which turned out to be given by a wonderful (but attached) guy instead. Nonetheless, my first experience with kitchenAid making Asian bread rolls was such a pleasant one. The kneading process was even with adjustable speeds. This is a MUST gadget for any domestic goddess, housewives or bake queens.

This is an excellent mixer. There is plenty of power to handle many tasks. The is only one minor complaint. It would be that the bottom and edges of the bowl are often missed. This would possibly be addressed with the flex edge attachment. I plan to purchase one and see. Overall, I am very happy with it.
Gray smears from "stainless steel" bowl
By Linda the Artist

My reaction to seeing this stand mixer on my counter for the first time was that I'm finally an adult, which is funny, since I'm 66 years old. So far, I've made sugar cookies, ice-cream, and gluten-free English muffins. The powerhouse mixer is superior to the one my mother had when I was a child, and the planetary motion of the beater is incredibly efficient. The only issue - and it's a show stopper because the mixer won't operate without it - is the stainless steel mixing bowl, which turned the cookie batter gray. I researched and followed the manufacturer's advice about removing "polish" from the surface of the bowl, and scrubbed it in a circular motion using baking soda. I thought the problem was solved; but as I finished turning out my English muffin batter, once again gray smears appeared on the last of the batter. I'm extremely disappointed to have paid this much money for what appears to be a shabby product. I looked into purchasing a glass bowl, but they're too expensive. Very disappointed.
I can't imagine life without this!

I received my KitchenAid as a birthday gift back in October. I always wanted one but couldn't warrant spending that kind of money on something for myself that I thought I would "occasionally" use. Well was I wrong, I use this all the time for everything. My husband even bought me the pasta roller for Christmas and what a grand time we are having making our own fresh pastas! This is a great addition for any kitchen cook, young or old.
