Easy to Use.
from Chaska, MN
I just purchased the Artisan Series 5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer. Love it. Used it to make a double batch of cookies. I have arthritis in my hands and it can be difficult to mix cookies by hand. It was so much easier than mixing the batter by hand.

Finally decided to replace my Kitchen Aid classic plus after 21 years due to a motor oil leak. I love the color and the bigger bowl.
No Paddle Attachment Included in Box

Addition to my recent review: No paddle attachment included in the box! The second defective mixer is going back anyway along with the first one. Is there no quality control at the factory? Is the foreman asleep at the wheel? Both machines arrived looking used! My 25 year-old Classic never had a problem except a dried out power-cord. Just wanted a bigger bowl and fun color. What a heartbreaking disappointment. You would think with so many negative reviews about the stainless steel bowls leaving the factory with a nasty residue to machines jumping off countertops and failing motors, Whirpool (KA sadlly was acquired by Whirlpool) would address the issues and build better machines. This isn't the Kitchen Aid of your mother's day.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Two New Kitchen Aid Artisans Artived Damaged
Bought a new Artisan to replace my 25 year-old 4.5 quart Kitchen Aid (still going strong). It arrived with several defects. Tbe metal strip on the motor head was jutting out on both sides, the bowl clamping plate was badly scratched, thr motor head was covered with a black gummy substance.and the hazard sticker, which is not supposed to be removed was partially scraped off. I called Kitchen Aid, sent pictures, and they sent a replacement. Guess what? The second one had the same problems! Metal strip jutting out on one side, seriously scratched clamping plate, and black gummy stuff on motor head. Also, badly damaged instruction book. Now I have two defective machines to be picked up. No customer service available on Saturdays even though book says Customer Satisfaction Center is open on Saturdays from 10-5. "Kitchen Aid for the Way its Made" I don't think so! How many more machines do they have to send before they get it right? I'll be lucky to have one by Christmas. What a disappointment. .
