Comments about Kitchen-Aid KitchenAid 24" Built-In Dishwasher - Stainless Steel:

It holds a lot and cleans very well. I have put plates in that were coated with dried egg yolk, dried tomato sauce, greasy plastic containers, food not cleaned off and everything has come out clean and shiny, with no filmy residue. My stainless pots don't need the stains cleaned off like they did in the old dishwasher. The only thing that has not come clean is a metal spatula that had potatoes deep fried on the end that sat on night. It was almost cleaned, but needed a little help. I'm very impressed. This dishwasher is very quiet. I wasn't sure how it would hold stemware and it holds 8 of mine safely. All the dishwashers I looked at now are no longer flat where you put cups and glasses. I wasn't sure how that would work and they go in great and hold securely. My only complaints: when the top rack is pulled all the way out, it sags, making me wonder how well it is made and because of where the controls are, it's easy to bump them, but I'm sure I'll get used to that.

We've had this dishwasher less than 1.5 years and it's broken down four times now. The latest was the motor burned out. I highly recommend NOT buying this product.

Comments about Kitchen-Aid KitchenAid 24" Built-In Dishwasher - Stainless Steel:

Compared to my previous dishwasher, this one is dreamy! It cleans AND dries my dishes exceptionally well. Doesn't require a lot of pre-rinsing, which is nice. The controls are easy to use and the options suit my needs. The rack design has taken a little getting used to, probably only because I was so used to my former dishwasher. It's super quiet, except for when it's initiating...it makes a few rather loud "whishing" sounds (perhaps it's pre-rinse mode?), but after that it runs quietly. I particularly like the "one hour" run cycle feature. I understand it draws from more resources in order to run a full cycle so quickly, so I don't use it often, but when I need my dishes cleaned fast, it's a nice feature to have. Overall, I'm very pleased with our choice!

This is an excellent product with ease of use and features. The noise level is very little and has excellent cleaning. The options are exactly what is needed and the buttons located at the top and inside the door is an excellent location. I would highly recomend this product.

We love our new dishwasher -- from the adjustable racks, to the stainless steel interior, to the smudge resistant exterior, to the extraordinarily quiet operation -- it's a great machine. I love it! The only improvement I'd recommend would be a quick rinse option.

This is the best dishwasher I have had in 50 years of marriage! I especially love the ProScrub feature. My worn copper pots and pans are now as bright as new! My glasses and dishes sparkle and any dried-on food disappears. Also the design is very attractive with the controls hidden on the top of the door and grandchildren can't push buttons. I highly recommend this dishwasher to anyone.

During the first year the dishwasher worked great, then the insides fell apart. Silverware basket: 14 months Top Rack: Completely fell out at 18 months Motor: 19 Months The expense of repair and cost parts make it not worth it. I want to warn everyone. Buyer beware!! We thought we were buying a better product, spending the extra money, but we are so disappointed.

My complaints about this product relate to the sensitivity of the front control panel. The slightest brush against a button starts the machine. If the Control Lock is on to avoid this, it's difficult to reverse it to begin a cycle. It's not a deal breaker, but extremely annoying. I've used the machine for one month.

Good performance - the only difficulties are 1. we very often inadvertently hit the buttons while standing in front of the machine, 2. oddly given the above we have trouble starting the machine on the right cycle - push start and nothing happens or push start and it goes into dry cycle. All of the above could be classified as operator error but it would seem that there would be ease of operation at leat follow an intuitive plan.
