Love the double oven.

Comments about KitchenAid 30" Free Standing Gas Range - Black:
Not happy that the grates on stove top are connected. Very heavy to lift. The Upper Oven has a few flaws; such as, the gas pipe is to fat; it should be a little thinner and wider. The rack on the upper oven should be up about another half inch or so; as it would make it easier to get items out of oven. The last thing is the bottom plate keeps popping up. As for the lower oven, the glider rack does not glide! You have to yank at it to get it out.

Kive the feautures

We bought this appliance one month ago and I love it. I really like the option of having two ovens, I frequently cook two things at the same time that require different temperatures. Very happy with our purchase!

Our range/oven was installed about 4 months ago. 1) After a few months, repairmen came to our house 5 times. First repairman came 3 times and could not get the top oven to work (it suddenly quit after using only 6-7 times). After I asked for a repairman from another company, KitchenAid finally sent someone who knew what he was doing! 2) The stainless range top scratches so easily that I don't even know how the scratches got there. 3) Did you ever hear of an oven that doesn't have a broiler? This is the case with the bottom oven. I did not even realize this until after a few weeks of ownership. 4) The range grids are extremely heavy. One side of one fastens under the other and one side fastens over the other. Very awkward. The range burners work well and oven heat is fine...the only positive things I can say about this unit.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Purchased within the last month and love the Easy Convect Option. I have a gas oven and the convection gives the baking option of a more continuous temperature for perfect baking. Also like the upper oven for keeping items warm. I had another double but the smaller oven always overheated. The Kitchen Aid keeps both ovens at the exact temps. Love it.
Great with great features!

The oven failed on my old stove. Checked many stoves and even took my roasting pan with me to make sure I would be able to bake a large turkey!
A Dream Oven/Range for the Home Cook
By Chef Ann

This oven/range is my dream come true. Not only is the styling beautiful and solid, it offers the best of all worlds, with the two separate ovens and cooking options. For every day cooking we use the smaller, top oven which is so convenient. For weekend baking, we use the lower convection oven and all of our baked goods have been cooked to perfection. The grates on the range are heavy and solid yet easy to lift up for cleaning. All in all, best oven/range I've ever owned.
Poor quality prefer helping their techs instead of customers

I bought this appliance three months ago. I am having issues with the key pad as the buttons 1, 2, 3, buttons are starting to malfunction do not work. KitchenAid customer service is useless. They choose service providers who choose their own schedules with specific hours Monday through Friday 8-4pm. They do not offer service on the weekend. I purchased this item to support American families as I wanted to buy something made in America but apparently KitchenAid still thinks were living in the 1950s where there is a wife always are at home. Working families cannot get service during the late afternoon or on the weekends. Hence they cater to their technicians schedule over providing quality service to its customers. So it seems I have to take a loss in a day's wages to provide service to an appliance that still under warranty, thanks KitchenAid you're making American families depend on American service that shows laziness and unwillingness to work to help its fellow working American families! No really for American people! So as of now, cooking in the oven is either undercooked or too wee bone!

Cooks great I love the double oven

I bought this stove over 2 months ago. Really like the smaller oven, when I have something small to bake. I have it in white and really like the way it looks. It is mostly easy to clean except for the panel with the clock. As I wipe it off since it's right behind the burners, it is very easy to turn on the ovens. But just as easy to touch the off buttons. But still, wish I could wash off the panel without turning on the ovens. Any suggestions?
