How do you clean the ENTIRE INSIDE of the oven?
from Canfield, Ohio
Comments about KitchenAid 30" Slide-In Dual Fuel Range - Stainless Steel:
This range replaced my JennAire range. I have had it less than one year. This was the only option with a downdraft. After cooking two turkeys for Thanksgiving it needed cleaned. The AquaLift technology only cleans the BOTTOM OF THE OVEN!!! What about the rest of the oven and the racks? The cleaning instructions say to not use oven cleaners!!! The store technician advised Dawn dish washing liquid and a soft sponge. I have spent hours on the floor bending around the door wiping!! This is not self cleaning at all!! Service of a product is just as important as the product. I would never recommend this range.

We bought this range when we were replacing our kitchen appliances. I had never had a gas range and I'm really enjoying it. There is a large window in the oven so easy to see what is cooking. There is a pull out great in the oven which is very nice. There are many things that I will never use on it but I guess that's okay. Not sure about the aqua lift cleaning as I haven't used it yet.Cons: the timer. It only rings once, one beep, and it is not very loud even though the setting says hi. My timer I had before how about 4 times to it and then wouldn't ring periodically until it was shut off. I'm not very happy about the pre-heating either. It takes 15 minutes to preheat to 350 degrees and longer for higher temps. My last range had a quick preheat which I really wish this one had.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Best Stove Ever

This is by far the best stove we have ever owned. Love the Easy-Vect!

I enjoy cooking and baking on my new stove. I haven't needed to clean oven yet, but I like the idea you don't have to put on very hot temp. Or use fuming chemicals. The top of the stove is also very easy to clean. No scrubbing, just wipe it clean. It's beautiful. It cleans so easy, it looks new all of the time. I like the way it cooks faster, on top of the stove and in the oven. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
LOVE this stove.

I am in love with my new stove. It's not only beautiful, but highly functional. It is also super quiet. The downdraft is good as well. I would highly recommend it!

Downdraft slide-in easier to install than we expected
from British Columbia
We had to have a down draft range to replace our old Jenn-Air. We really wanted gas. It was installed and is working very well. The fan is excellent. We are very happy with gas also. The oven is electric but there was no option for a gas oven in the down draft option. We do have the aqua-clean - which I do not like at all, but many stoves do not offer the self-clean method of "heating the oven to turn the spills to ashes" anymore, due to environmental concerns. The "aqua method" is just steaming the oven and then you have to scrape, scrub and wipe off ever little bit with great effort as it is a "bent over" job that is brutal on the back. The manual also says you should do this very often, which makes me wonder how much energy we are really saving!

Beware! Poor finish and the Aqua Lift cleaning is a joke!
from Half Moon Bay, CA
There are very few choices for a downdraft range and I was please initially and for the first couple months to find this dual-fuel and good looking option. However there are two things that make me say beware1. Stainless steel is not supposed to rust right? The cooktop is not at all hardy. If any acidic splatters on it (eg spaghetti sauce or soups - not exactly abnormal use) it quickly pits the finish, and if not wiped up immediately, the spots start to rust! with diligent wiping with stainless steel cleaner (the only thing I use on it) the rust spots look gray rather than rusty, but the finish is still pitted and spotted. Some grease spots have the same effect. So after a year of use, its not looking so nice. I have the same problem with the front of my new dishwasher from the same line.2. The Aqua Lift cleaning - simmering water in the bottom of the over for 40 minutes cleans - the bottom of the oven. Absolutely no impact on the cooked-on grease on the walls, top or door of the oven. The instructions caution you not to use oven cleaner because it will harm a coating on the oven, so scrubbing with magic erasers seems to be the only option. I really miss the conventional high-heat oven cleaning, even if it takes a long time and smells a bit.If not for these two issues I would give it 4 stars - it takes 15-20 minutes for the oven to heat up and I wish it held a constant temperature better, but otherwise it does what it is supposed to do. If I need quick heating or have something messy for the oven, I use my 13-year-old Kitchenaid self-cleaning wall oven - and the external finish on that still looks like new, unlike the so-called "stainless steel" in this line.

Love my new stove!
from Finger Lakes Region, NY
Replacing an old Jenn-Air from previous owners. Had installed Thermador in previous home.. Am very pleased with Kitchen-Aid dual burner stove, especially burners, ease of cleaning, innovative racks as in Thermador. Only criticism is a noisy downdraft blower.
Nice Simple Stove
from Woodstock, CT
This gas stove is wonderful improvement over our old electric stove. Love the oven options.
very nice range
from san diego
we really wanted downdraft venting and this is basically the only range that offers that. it's definitely pricey but it fits our needs very well. the oven is electric so it takes a little while to preheat but it bakes very evenly. i don't totally understand the easy convect because it seems to take longer to cook food. the gas cooktop works perfectly. the downdraft is not as noisy as i was expecting and it works great; we made the neighbors crave bacon haha
