Great but small issues

Easy to install and easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took about 45 minutes from bringing the box in to lighting the first burner. The gas had been previously piped. My husband installed it. Make sure the stove top has a good fit into the countertop hole. I cook most things on low I believe the food tastes better.

Nice even temperature controls

I'm really impressed with the consistent flame control across all the burner, even at lowest simmer settings, which was a problem for the old cooktop. I do with the control etchings were more pronounced. we can't see what the control knob settings say unless we lean around and get it exactly the right light.

Great Product and Great Service
We recently purchased the KitchenAid 36" gas cooktop. It normally comes with a griddle. Unfortunately our new cooktop did not. It took awhile to finally speak to their Service/Support staff, but the wait was worth it. I spoke with Shelly and in five minutes a new griddle was on its way. Good service is a rare commodity these days, but not at KitchenAid/Whirlpool. Shelly was very knowledgeable and professional.

Awesome cooktop

I had a glass cooktop, but it was so very hard to regulate the heat when I was doing my pressure canning. This is so much easier… you set it to the desired setting and it stays there. I used to have to sit right by my stove to constantly turn the heat up or down because on the electric stove,the ‘heat’ kept going down and up and I’d have to adjust it constantly. This cooktop is so much easier for canning

Great Cooktop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought a new home a few years ago. The cooktop was old and did not fully fill the countertop cut out. We had previously owned Dacor appliances. We are planning a kitchen remodel in the next 1-2 years. We were thinking of adding a Wolf cooktop but thought this eould be a good choice for now. This is a 900 series cooktop so it has all the different options for burners. We’ve had it for close to a month now and we are quite enamored with this cooktop. The central high power burner (2 stage is powerful and boils water quickly. The even heat burner (right front) spreads the flame over a large area and provides even heat over a good temperature range that allows for better cooks for delicate dishes like omelettes to high heat applications such as searing steaks after sous vide cooking (reverse sear technique). The extra included top for the smallest burners (we use the back left) converts it to an excellent simmer burner. That accessory has found a permanent home! At this point we do not anticipate replacing this in our remodrl as it perfectly meets our needs.

SOLID...well made

Light-up dials are a nice feature...only suggestion is for the dials to be marked with a black ink, vs. white and to have that stamped...I can see that, over time, this may wear down. Other than that, quite impressed.

What an incredible difference immediately. No more inconsistent heat with sauces boiling over. It has a very large cooling area and the control knobs are well placed and have a solid professional feel. They light up too. I'm a believer now

Why Didn’t We Do This Sooner?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When my husband and I decided to upgrade our kitchen, it also meant switching from electric to gas cooking…finding a gas plumber, trekking to City Hall for a permit, and waiting for inspections, but SO WORTH THE WAIT!!
We now have the KitchenAid KCGS956ESS, a 36”, 5 burner cooktop which gives us a variety of burners, it’s easy to keep clean, and did I mention it came with a griddle!
Cooking now is fun and no longer a juggling act of shuffling pans on and off of electric burners. We are thrilled to have made this investment in our home. Thank you KitchenAid!
