Love this fridge

Comments about LG 27.9 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator - Stainless Steel:
Runs very quiet. Plenty of organization. I noticed the shelves are designed to be positioned together if you choose to adjust the shelves because of a small notch and for this reason it does not seem possible to only readjust a single shelve without moving the other. Freezer space is roomy and plentiful. Lighting is very bright and easy to see easily throughout the fridge. Love the meat drawers. Would have liked bigger vegetable bins and smaller meat and cheese drawer. Ice maker works great and like the low profile. Very happy with the fridge and glad to have selected this one.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I purchased this a few months ago and have loved it. There are a few things that I would have added/changed that would have made this the perfect fridge, but I haven't seen one yet that has every feature. I wish the icemaker had a control to stop making ice when the bin was full, but it doesn't, so I just cut it off until it reaches half full and then cut it back on again. I also wish that the door bins were a little heavier duty plastic than they are, since we put 2 liter drinks in there. The last thing I would have like to have seen was one of the sliding glass shelves on the top row. It was in the picture, but I knew it didn't have one when I purchased it. I specifically wanted this one because I have seen so many people having problems with the ice/water in the door leaking or causing rust later on and I didn't want that. Overall though, I like my LG refrigerator and get a lot of compliments on how much room it has.
Very good product

After reviewing many brands found that LG appeared to be the right choice. Was very dissatisfied with my previous French Door Unit.

I've had this fridge for over 3 years. I have not had any problems with performance. It cools efficiently, has a lot of space and it looks beautiful in my kitchen. Only thing I am not happy with is the bins on the door break easily. I only have two that aren't broken. Also the freezer bin on the bottom needs more dividers or something to better organize the food in there and that one broke easily too, I have yet to replace the bins.
NOT happy with this product

Purchased appliance Nov 2011. Compressor failed/replaced within 2 yrs. Now that compressor has to be replace within 3 years. Not good for a LG product. Replacing 2 compressors within 5 years is unacceptable.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This is a great fridge. It's very roomy and has compartments for almost everything.

I've had this product for 4 years and I have to say I'm very disappointed in the quality of the drawers and shelves. The plastic in these components are low quality and thin. For the money of this appliance it should be built better.

Quiet and Cools Evenly

I bought this about a month ago. I love it. Very large capacity. Easy to organize food in the fridge and freezer so everything is easy to find. Nice and quiet. No matter where the food is in the fridge it is cold and never frozen (my last fridge which would freeze food at the back at whim). The inside is easy to clean. This is my first stainless steel appliance and I am still getting used to keeping the outside clean. I never knew how much I touched the outside of the doors until I saw all the fingerprint evidence. A damp cloth wipe followed by a microfiber wipe is doing the trick so far to clean the fingerprints.

I've had this fridge for almost 3 years. So far its been a good fridge for the most part. No problems with keeping food nice and cold. Nice features on control panel. So far the bins inside my fridge have all but two broken. Had them replaced.. So I'm not happy about the durability of these bins. The door to the butter compartment broke too. One blade from the ice maker just fell out from the fridge...... just fell out. Beautifully lit with LED lights. Very spacious. Overall, its a great fridge except for the durability of the bins and that one blade that fell out.
Very nice, some changes are a little off

I have had it for a few days now and everything is working great. A few things peaked my interest though. (1) The fruit/vegetable drawers have the humidity control, but you can easily see between the drawer top and the shelf (air flow). So the humidity control knobs are useless since it will let air flow through the large cracks regardless of the position for the control. (2) There is no longer a butter tray (with the rotating lid to close it off). (3) I replaced an older LG french door fridge with this fridge and the freezer on the old on has a small tray at the top of the freezer door (for small items). The new door still has the molding for it, but didn't come with the tray or the holes punched to put the tray if you wanted to even buy one (if for some reason it was sold separately). (4) For some reason they have changed the color of the fridge to grey instead of black (fridge and freezer door is stainless steel of course, I'm talking about the sides, top and back).
