Everything I need and more!

Comments about LG 4.3 Cu. Ft. Front Loading Washer - White:
Love my new LG washer! I'm a truck driver and occasionally get grease stains on my clothes. I pretreat the stain before I wash and grease is gone. Nice large capacity. Much less noise than previous washer. I wipe down inside of door when finished and run a clean cycle every month or so and there are no funky odors. Haven't used all of the different programs, but the ones I have used all seem fine.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I never wanted a front load washer because of all the negative issues regarding smell, having to run a beach through them to keep them clean etc. I was shown how the new front loaders are so effiecient and the issues have been addressed. If I had not watched the delivery men hook up the washer to water and test run it I would think they had forgot. This washer uses so little water compared to my 15 year old top load. I love how quiet it is, the magnet that holds the door ajar and the delay option! I am really happy I went for it and bought an upper end unit as I will have this for a long, long time. You can't go wrong. Good job LG. You have made a believer in your product and company

We purchased both the washer and dryer. Great combo. Washer cleans clothes very well with very little water; subsequently the dryer is very efficient. Features are excellent. I can't believe the improvement over my last washer and dryer (10 years old).

Overall I think LG makes a good washer. I had one of the first front loader large capacity washers (not LG) for several years and once I figured out that you have to keep the door open and run a load of white towels with bleach once a week it ended up being an ok washer. I like the features on this machine even though I have to admit I have not used them all yet. I have had this one about a month and so far so good! Love the tune that plays when it is finished:-)
This product has great features for the price!

The LG front load washer has great capacity, good cleaning capability, and a nice appearance. The only things that are somewhat annoying are when it fills, the water starts and stops many times and creates a pounding sound as it does this. I installed anti hammer devices in line with the supply hoses which helps a little. Something to be careful of, is putting too small a load in or a varied load. The washer occasionally has trouble balancing the load. Other than that, so far, very good.
I love this washer

Haven't used the steam option yet, but I have very large blankets that I wash and knowing this washer can handle the load is perfect. Both my daughters have LG washers and dryers. We are a total LG laundry family. I'm single and knowing that I can do all my clothes in one load is amazing.
features don't have value to quality ratio

There are a lot of features to this machine, unfortunately, the overall performance is very poor. After months of back and forth with the customer service reps and multiple visits with technicians concerning the washer leaking significant amounts of water, it was determined that we were using to much soap. This was a common problem and should have been discussed early on, not 6 months down the road and hours of wasted time. (the final analysis was to use one table spoon of soap, and yes, thats the HE soap) The child lock feature does not lock out the power button. Once your children hit the power button, there's no going back. You need to complete a full cycle again because you have no idea what part of the cycle they turned it off in. AND, because the cleaning is so poor, you almost always have to run a prewash along with one - two extra rinse cycles to get basic loads clean. The turbo feature is quick, but gets your clothes no cleaner than dunking them in your sink and ringing the water out of them. If you have children, sweat, or get the least bit of dirt on your clothes, these machines are not for you. They will come out still dirty and still smelly. If you work behind a desk and never go outside, it would be sufficient. Hope this helps all the working families that still remain.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Separate riser drawer not tall enough for some standard washer products.
