Comments about LG 4.1 Cu. Ft. Top Loading Washer - White:
As is with most everyone else, this machine has the lowest efficiency possible due to the UE error code issue when the load is not at all uneven. Waste of water, electricity and time.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Nothing but headaches

I hate this washer. It goes imbalanced almost every load and takes 90-120 longer than normal load. I purchased it Jan 2014 after Consumers Report rated it high. We hate doing the wash never knowing if it will stay balanced. A repairman finally got LG to replace and upgrade our control board after LG customer service, Roland amd Leo, said there were no recalls or that we were past warranty. I know how to wash clothes properly. I hope LG finally does something. Do not buy unless you want to babysit your washer.
A good investment

I have been using this washing machine for seven months now and I am extremely happy with it. The height fits perfectly in my 1bedroom apartment and its tucked away neatly in my laundry room. We haven't had any kind of problems so far. Top loading makes it easy for me to load and it doesn't go heavy on water and electric bills too, easy to clean with its own tub cleaning mode.

I have had this washer for 2 1/2 years. For the past 3 months I have to constantly monitor the washer to make sure it doesn't go out of balance. As the washer tries to rebalance itself it keeps refilling with water making it very inefficient. A large load takes hours to finish. The clothes also come out wrinkled. We are now looking for a replacement washer and it will not be a top loading LG. A washer should last more then 2 years.
Its an okay washer. Love ...
Its an okay washer. Love the BIG tub size! Wish that it had a soak button.

After two years of working very well, this machine now makes doing laundry the biggest headache. A few months ago, it began to stop in the middle of almost every load and flash the "uneven" sign. And it continues to do this at least 1-2 more times after we shift the load. We had a short-term fix of putting every load on the "heavy duty" cycle, but this is no longer making loads go through a whole cycle now either. Very frustrating and now having to consider buying another type of washer as we have a new baby on the way and will be doing a lot more laundry.

I bought this washer and probably 6 months or so after purchasing it I would get constant unbalanced load errors while doing laundry. i would have to manually take the clothes out of the washer and place them in it again. This would go on for hours and hours on the same load. Save yourself frustration and money and buy another washer because this thing is garbage.

I've had this washer for a little over a year now. This washer is always going out of balance, I've spent more money in water since having this washer then my old 10 year old washer. It's constantly adding water during the spin process most of the times filling up the entire bin then repeat 2 or 3 times before it finally gives up. I would not recommend this to anyone. Another problem we have is it just does not wash clothes, many times we take out a load of wash and find some items that are completely dry or have dry areas.
