TOO HIGH, TOO DEEP
Comments about LG 4.9 Cu. Ft. Top Loading Washer - Graphite Steel:
Nice WM but tub is too high and too deep for people below 5 ft 2 in tall. We exchanged for front loader. The next question in this review is would you recommend to a friend. The answer is a qualified yes. The person should thoroughly investigate the unit for ability to reach clothes at bottom of tub.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I am so happy that I got this washer, I love it! It is so very quiet and I can wash large loads, which has really cut my laundry time in half!
Huge disappointment!!!! Leaves clothes dirty

This washer leaves my clothes and towels still dirty!!! Have to wash multiple times. Never adds enough water. I hit additional water usually three times and some times it's not enough. Wish I could return it and get another front load. Never had a cleaning problem with my front load made by Lg.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
General product satisfaction
Dryer: Good. 5 stars for the product. Washer: Fair. 3 stars for the product. Reasons: Soak time too short and have no option to make desire soak time. Too little water for washing. Machine's washing activity not powerful and does not seem to make clean wash. No compartment to put powder washing/cleaning products.
I would definitely recommend this washer. I love how clean everything gets. Would never buy anything but LG!

We bought a new washer and dryer a month ago after our old dryer finally went out again and I got tired of buying heating elements to replace it with. Our whole set was 13 years old and it's hard for me to part with money for appliances finally we gave in and this is what we chose. I am so thrilled and absolutely love everything about this washer. We set it up ourselves and make sure it was good and level and I've never had an issue. I love the 10 year warranty and will absolutely buy more LG products!

Can not believe I bought this thing. Hate this piece of junk washer...... Don't waste your money. Normal wash is 59 minutes and cloths are still not clean, Are you kidding me LG? It sure does move around a lot like its doing something, but watching your cloths barely get wet and stay in the same spot for 59 minutes is rediculous........... I can drive to laundry mat faster or wash cloths in a bucket and get better results. And if that's not bad enough, the steam dryer is terrible too (never completely dries cloths. Cloths are damp and cold, no matter how long you put them on for) So now I have a washer that never cleans the cloths and a dryer that has to be turned on 2-3 times. So disgusted I wasted so much money on these products. What made me choose these, was the recommendation of the salesman telling me, LG is the best in the industry. NO that's false. if they were the best, I wouldn't be writing this. Would have never replaced my 10 year old whirl pool front loader if they fit in the laundry room of new house. Wish there was a satisfactory money back guarantee. I would drop them off.....

Stay away from this washer DO NOT PURCHASE!

We made the mistake of purchasing this inferior product. It looks nice and the front mounted controls are nice, too bad they are completely useless. It has a feature called "load sensing". This non by-passable feature determines the amount of water required by twitching the dry load then spinning the dry load doing a tarot card reading, clicking the whole time. Then it either spits out enough water to dampen the load and proceeds to grind the damp load coated with the partly dissolved detergent in the tub or it will overfill the tub, floating the load well above the agitator. The laundry remains floating until it pumps out all of the gallons of wasted water out. Your clothes remain dirty but now they are dirty and wet. We have tried all of the settings and maybe one in ten loads actually gets washed somewhat clean. If there was anyway we could return this and get something with less voodoo in the features we would in a heartbeat. We need to buy another machine but it is against my nature to throw out something months old that costs hundreds of dollars. It would probably work if it would let you determine how much water was required but it doesn't allow that.
