Motor been replaced annually
from Abilene, TX, United States
Comments about LG All-In-One Electric Washer/Dryer Combo - White:
About 12 months after purchase the machine motor stopped. Had it repaired, and had to pay the full price since the 12 mo warranty had just expired. At the 24 mo anniversary again the motor went out. Again had to pay full price for the repair. Now the motherboard is out.

I love my washer/dryer combo
from Avinger, Tx
I bought my Front Loading Combo, July of 2013. My machine is ventless, something I thought would be pretty good. I haven't had any problems with my machine. I love it.

Purchased in 2012 and am ...

Purchased in 2012 and am delighted with all the features. Had some trouble at first figuring out the "Spinsense" but it works beautifully on wooden floors.
Not a dryer
I am using this washer/Dryer in a vacation condo and the clothes do not dry even in dryer for 2 hrs and need to put sheets and towels on patio to dry and hang most towels. Concept is great but I would not purchase. Our Neighbor had purchased and returned after 6 mo. Because hard to level and shook new home and not drying...
Broke 4 times since 2011
from Los Angeles, CA
We had such high hopes for this unit when we researched and purchased it back in 2011. We wanted a washer/dryer combo for our small apartment that will not require conversion of the existing outlet. This unit broke a total of 4 times since we purchased it. The hose cracked twice, the spin cycle stopped working during the 2nd year and just now, it failed to turn on completely and it has not even been 4 years since we'd had it. We were lucky to have purchased extended warranty from the appliance store or else this unit would've been useless 2 years into our purchase. It is simply too expensive for something that requires at least 1-2 service calls per year. A very disappointing product, I would not be purchasing an LG appliance again.
Buy a washer dryer set instead.

I bought this because I'm lazy and thought it would be cool to not have to move my clothes from the washer to the dryer. Unfortunately, I have not had such a relaxing experience with this product. There are too many things wrong with it. It is more like a prototype, or a proof of concept than a product. The first, and most obvious flaw is how incredibly long it takes. The absolute shortest amount of time it takes to do one load (tested with a single sock on quick wash) is 4 hours. I am not kidding. it is not uncommon for a normal sized load to take up to 14 hours to complete. Most of that is the dry cycle. The wash cycle, while a little bit longer than a normal washer, isn't nearly as ridiculously long. The second worst problem is that the drain pump breaks regularly and needs to be replaced. It is made with the same kind of plastic as a disposable spork, and it cracks, almost on queue, under normal operating conditions, entirely too often. And last, but not least, it doesn't even actually fully clean or fully dry your clothes. The lint that is supposed to be washed down the drain just gets matted all over everything, and because it is constantly adding water, to try to wash the lint out, it never makes progress in drying the clothes. The reason why it takes such a ridiculous amount of time to dry is because of this lint washing step that doesn't even work. Granted, the amount of dampness that is left in the clothes doesn't take long to air dry, and if you hang your clothes in a closet, it shouldn't even be an issue. But expect to have to clean lint off of everything and buy a new drain pump about every 9 months, if you still decide to buy this.
This product works great and only needs 110V.
from Texas, USA
This washer/dryer works great. It only uses 110V and doesn't take much space. I recommend getting the stand for it, since cleaning the drain at the bottom of the unit is easier with the stand. The clothes come out slightly damp. Most loads are done in 2-3 hours. Overall a great washer/dryer combo. I have had it for 1.5yrs.

I was skeptical. Read some reviews that it would smell, drains poorly, break down. It does not smell. It does not drain poorly. It hasn't broken down. Now, it is not that old. As a result, I paid extra for the longer warranty. And honestly, since this is a product that is not what I would normally use for a washer/dryer, I am glad I have the security of this added protection. It is so convenient to be able to wash/dry all-in-one. But if you like it the old fashioned way you can just set it for wash, take some things out, and then set for dry. It doesn't take long to wash at all. Drying is longer, but as long as you know this up front...no worries, just set it for a long time and do your thing, come back, and your set. Only thing is you need to drain the one hose and clean the filter monthly. Easy to do, but you don't have to do anything like that on a regular...well then again I guess you have to clean out the filter every time in a regular washer and dryer set up. Anyway, extremely happy I have this. I just hope they have this exact same one when this wears out...hopefully not for a very long time. I wouldn't get the smaller one...not if there are 2 people or more. This is a perfect size for the 2 of us. Anyway, barring any unforeseen circumstances...I highly recommend this product.
Great Space Saver!
from Sterling, VA
Ideal for apartments, condo/towhouse or any residence in which space is limited. Great product for small families that only require light to medium use for washing & drying. The ventless system is extremely efficient, some items may take longer to dry but with features you can program wash/drying cycles before leaving for work or to run weekend errands. Also by adding the pedestal it creates convenient storage capacity; less square footage is used compared to other combination washer/dyer units.
What more could you ask for?

I set the unit to start at 3 AM and wake up to a finished load of laundry. A little damp, but just the way I want it so nothing wrinkles. Can't imagine why LG discontinued this model??/ It's terrific!
