I hate to have to go thru the 2.5gal of water after the install - such a waste of water. I could use it to water plants but most of my indoor plants are succulents which don't require much. The install of both parts is very easy and not messy. Usually clear out a space on the top shelf to get to the air filter. Overall its a great system and easy to use.
