Not a gimmic!
We thought this one over extensively. We needed a pedestal to match the dryer pedestal for the height we wanted, and the cost of this unit was only $350 more for the washer function - over just a drawer. So we ordered this option. It has already proven its worth! The ability to quickly wash small loads like kitchen towels, hand towels, undergarments and anything that does better on a gentle cycle - this is the answer to that task. You can run both units at the same time. This one always finishes first and the clothes and or towels are completely clean. This uses less water, less power and less time. So if you have a small load or need only one thing cleaned quickly before the stain sets in, this unit is ideal for the task.

Love this sidekick

My kids are in tons of sports and this makes it so easy to wash jerseys, shorts, whatever and not have to run my huge washer with only 4-5 things in it. Awesome Hamper!

I am sure everyone uses it for storage, but I use it as a clothes hamper, it’s the perfect size. It actually holds way more than you would think. This is a must buy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this with my LG washing machine about three months ago, it is a fantastic design and added product to my machine. It is truly convenient to put my hand washables in and I can do so at the same time as my wash is going. Hey only thing you need to remember is, once you add the washing soap, it will chime after the wash is complete and then when the rent cycle comes it will chime for you to add the fabric softener, I think it gives you like three minutes.

Raising the dryer plus free storage space
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are happy with this LG LAUNDRY PEDESTAL - GRAPHITE STEEL. It keeps both our washer with sidekick and dryer at the same height. A bonus feature is that it provides some storage space. We were worried initially if it gets hot when we operate the dryer. But luckily the dryer is well insulated so we can keep anything inside the pedestal storage space. Note that it is not tall enough to keep some of the large laundry detergent cans though.

Where do you put the detergent and rinse in the side kik pedestal?
To use detergent in the SideKick Pedestal Washer. you would need to slide the drawer open, open the lid, and add the garments into the tub, then measure the detergent with the detergent dispenser and pour it into the tub, close the lid, slide the drawer closed, and press the START/PAUSE button to start the cycle. ^CP
