Not a quality product

Comments about Maytag 2.0 Cu. Ft. Over-The-Range Microwave - Black on Black:
Since brand new this microwave had an intermittent light. One day it stopped working altogether. 1.5 years into ownership the microwave quit. It is completely blank as if it is not getting power, but the outlet works fine. This thing is useless. So is out maytag oven, and fridge. Never again Maytag.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Not so great

I have tried to read the display panel, I have tried to read the instructions manual, I have even called to get a rep to walk me through some of the functions. I have gotten no useful instructions from anything I've tried and the rep was actually snotty to me. I am actually hating the convection part and no one I know that has one even uses it. It is not user friendly and I won't buy this brand ever again!

I purchased my home in Jun 2014. It had all brand new Maytag appliances. The microwave started giving me problems after the first year. When i go to use it i have to wait upwards of 2 minutes for the light to click on. Then i am able to push in the time and it starts working. Also when i open the door while working the microwave does not shutoff. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Was very happy with Glide tray, after 6 months start getting problems with starting with work microwave itself. After 10 months I have a clock with light and hood, microwave is not working at all. Done everything from troubleshooting suggestions- nothing worked. How can you rate this product? From excellent (good idea with the tray) to poor, when this tray is not working!

We've been pleased with the features of this microwave, but the magnetron failed just 14 months after we purchased it. Yes, the magnetron is covered by a 10 warranty, but when we pay for a service call and labor from an authorized repair shop, we spend as much as the original unit cost. Seriously!
I love this convection microwave

This is a great size big enough for a lasagna pan. You can turn off rotation so a big pan fits. It great when you don't want to heat up the the big oven. Many good features. I couldn't live without it.

Would love it except to door disintegrated for no apparent reason. The plastic just started cracking until about a 15" section fell off the bottom.

I have had my microwave for 5 years now and it meets my expectations of Maytag products. The only difficulty that I have is finding a local vendor in the Mesa, AZ area to find replacement filters.
Easy to Use

Maytag appliances are my first choice. My father was a lonely Maytag repairman, so I grew up with Maytags in my home. When I bought this microwave I already knew I would find satisfaction. It is easy to use--I haven't even read the manual. I like the wideglide tray and the space inside. It looks nice with my other white appliances.
