We had quite a few issues with this dishwasher at first. It was leaking a lot of water on some loads, the top rack didn't pull out completely and the door was really hard to close properly. Also, the steam escape was really warping the underside of our laminate countertops. We were getting new countertops anyway and when that happened, we pulled the dishwasher out and started over. Now that it is at the very lowest setting in the back (had to remove the wheels and screw them into different holes) the front can be raised enough to stop the leaking, the door closes properly and the rack pulls out. We covered the underside of the new counter's edge with waterproofing tape to hopefully prevent more moisture damage. So much better! I think the steam escape is a poor design, probably done to save money. It vents steam under the countertop, the drawer next to it gets warm. I don't like thinking what might eventually grow in all that warm, moist air but I hope I'm just being paranoid. Overall, we are happy with the machine now.
LOVE THIS DISHWASHER!

Our old machine, a Whirlpool about 9 years old, suddenly caught fire in the electronic panel, so I did some research about new dishwashers. Avoided Bosch because of reviews complaining about the yucky job of cleaning the filter and dishes not drying well because of no heated dry, so based on reviews and seeing the product in the store, went with Maytag. I can't praise this dishwasher highly enough. It look great, has a very solid feel, is easy to use, has lots of electronic options, but best of all gets the dishes absolutely sparkling, even without manual pre-rinsing. Wine glasses sparkle and don't have that little smudgy drip on the rim, silverware spotless and dry. It's also amazingly quiet. I had no idea there would be so much difference between machines. My one request is I wish it had more stemware slots on the top shelf.
Awesome features and quiet

We bought this a month ago and are happy with the awesome features, quietness and how the buttons are hidden. Way to go Maytag ❤️❤️

We bought this unit brand new. After less than 2 weeks of use the water check valve is leaking and destroyed our brand new hardwood floors. I called for a repair and I haven't seen or heard from the repairman in 3 weeks. Starting to wish I bought a new appliance. Other than that, its super quite and leaves the dish's spotless.
Very quiet and great eye appeal.

We've only had for a week but can tell we made the right choice. Adds so much to our kitchen...but not noise!!!

I really put a lot into the purchase of this machine and what a deal and breaks I got on it. I like the adjustable top shelf and especially the 10 warranty allowing free replacement of the racks which are a problem with Florida water which is hard to treat for purity. The water "cooked" the racks in the last 3 Maytags in this house The coating on the racks is supposed to be much better than before. Maybe I will not have to replace them as I hope to keep the machine more than ten years. I am very pleased with the utensil rack and have not had to rewash anything as often happens when the flatware lies together often blocking a surface from being cleaned. I like the fact that you can organize the utensils before putting them back in the drawer or drawers. One of the hardest things is remembering to hit the start button and remembering to give the door a little extra push when doing this. I do have to check on this maybe one last time but no big deal. I have always liked the hi temp feature gets the hot water temperature to the correct level as I am one who has used a timer on my water heater for 30 years which I am sure saves a lot of money. I think this feature is only on for about a half hour which is a lot cheaper than keeping the water heater on all day just for the dishwasher. I like the very low noise level and what improvements have been made over the years. The all over appearance is very impressive and very spacelike and even "yuppie" if you want to call it that. It is good to see stainless coming back after I believe it was first in homes in the 1950's. The kitchen is a function and service area no matter how much we try dress things up there and stainless is a material which does the job well. I wanted to replace my refrigerator with a stainless surfaced refrigerator but the door could not be reversed and too bad because I would have enjoyed that even more. I believe it was a Maytag brand, too.
