I bought this a month ago and I am well pleased with it but you need more temperature degree increments between settings. also you need to have a large element on the front of the stove.also the digital controls need to be whiter , they are hard to see.

Noisy. Glass top shows smudges and smears; difficult to clean. Glass top discolored/damaged from use of cast iron skillet at high power. At lower induction settings, pulses on and off rather than reducing power. Not fine enough gradation between induction settings to afford precise temperature control. Range-top touch sensitive controls are difficult to see and to control (and they smudge). Range-top active induction cooking areas too strictly prescribed -- pot can't be but fractionally larger or smaller than designated cooking circle. Needs a larger cooking circle to accomodate family/party size pans.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

We bought our oven specifically for the induction cooktop. It is everything we hoped it would be and more! This oven/range is easier to cook with and offers us more features than the oven we replaced it with.
Error messages and "Aqua-Lift"
from Chilliwack, BC, Canada
I've had the control panel, and the clock module ("just because" ... according to the repair technician ) replaced already, since the lock function would not UNLOCK the controls once they were locked. Now, after the first year warranty was over -- I repeatedly get the error message "FAULT DETECTED: DISABLE POWER TO CLEAR". This seems to indicate a sensor failure of the door lock, so now I need to order a replacement control panel ... again. The "aqua-lift" clean does absolutely nothing except waste my time, and consume energy. The window, although large, is very difficult to clean, and defeats the entire 'self-cleaning' feature. I've read all the reviews on this site, and a large number refer to the speed of boiling water - like Maytag invented induction current. Induction cooking IS fast - however - I'd rather my range functioned more like a light switch in my home.Turn ON, Turn OFFNot "Disable Power to clear", switch breaker OFF, wait two minutes, switch ON, resume cooking....repeat sometimes 4x per day, at times during the same cooking cycle.Oh, BTW (by-the-way)... the convection bake/broil feature works Ok, if the oven is perfectly level, you use the center rack, AND bump the temperature UP 25 degrees, as the CPU will lower it. At least on my whacko range from Maytag Hope this helps.
Boils water fast

Boils water fast, great temp control and operates smoothly. only issue is the buzzing sound from the induction cook top when in use. but you will over look that because it cooks so quickly.
Better than electric or gas by far
from Gulf Coast, Florida
This induction range is amazing! Instant heat with no messy cooktop cleanup. I live in Florida and this gives off very little extra heat which is great!Oven is large and I use both convection and regular bake.I also have a gas unit at my summer cabin. I am swapping that out at the next trip up for the same Induction Range.

We bought this range a few months ago because of the lockout feature on both the oven and stove top. We have an autistic child who likes to push buttons and turn knobs so this was a perfect fit for our family.
This is an excellent range with enough advanced features to keep you happy for many years.
A Beautiful And Expensive Substandard Range
from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States
I've had the range five months. Repairs have been performed four times:** two times for the cooktop -- the controls weren't working.** two times for the oven -- a new convection fan assembly, and a new "board" for the controls on the back panel. The cooktop works fine now. The placement of the large burner is inconvenient, on the back-right side. The range also appears works, but the oven has hot spots and cooks food unevenly -- which isn't how convection is supposed to work. The control panel, after being replaced, continues to not function correctly. The timer, and delay cook features aren't functional. INDUCTION AND CONVECTION ARE NOT NEW TECHNOLOGIES: WHAT KEEPS MAYTAG FROM GETTING IT RIGHT, AT THIS PRICE POINT?
