HAD 1 YEAR AND QUIT WORKING
from Melbourne, Fla
Comments about Maytag 3.4 Cu. Ft. Top Loading Washer - White on White:
I bought this 1yr and 1mo ago. Always had problems. Would rinse when it wants to(now not all) The rinse cycle spends less than 3 minutes when the agitator is actually moving. It spends 4 times as long to sense a load as it does actually washing. Never again.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Bad purchase choice
from Montreal, Canada
I bought my set in september 2013, and just a year later (just as my warranty ended) the cycles on my washer would pause for ever.We now have to push the start button twice for the cycle to continue. And if we forget the fabric softener leaks down on to the clothes staining them. For a single mom on a budget not happy.
Washing cycle times

We bought our machine in 2014 and have been pleased with it as far as washing. I am wondering which cycle is the quickest way (time wise)to get clothes washed. I've read reviews about the locking problem, I just fill it with the lid open and add clothes as it fills. I did find the lid lock an annoyance at first because I wasn't used to it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Would rather wash by hand
from Olathe, KS
I have had this machine 2 years. One of the worst appliances I have ever bought. The normal cycle takes almost 2 hours-and the clothes are still not clean. Now I have to run the spin cycle an extra 3-4 times just to get the clothes somewhat rinsed out. I had a 20 year old Roper before-sure wish I would have kept that machine.

Whirlpool bought Maytag and wanted to crash them.did a good job.our machine walked all over the place.spins out then sprays water and leaves them wet, reset many times, no cycle works as it should, who ever designed the timer better not be still working there. We had a Maytag 30 yrs be for, but I guess you want to sell junk instead of a product to be proud of.

I bought this washer on 12-10-13. It stopped working on 12-11-15. The company said that I should have purchased an extended warranty. I said that a washing machine should last longer than two years. It eats holes in t-shirts. When you try to add something that you forgot, you lose your water and detergent. It is a piece of junk.

I had my previous Maytag 40+ yrs. I purchase this one 4 yrs ago. It required a repair a month ago. Now it is leaking oil through the motor onto the belt. I was told that it would cost too much to repair and that I should let it run until it stops and buy a new one. So much for the Maytag Repair Man
This machine is a lemon
from Menifee, Ca
I bought this washer less than two years ago and am very disappointed with it. It does not clean well...I always have to run things through twice to get a fresh scent. Feels as if the liquid soap is never completely rinsed out, and sometimes leaves soap spots...and does not always drain well either. Imagine washing a shirt in a bucket with a cup of water and some soap...and that about sums up how this machine works. Going back to a machine that fills with water.

Huge disappointment in maytag !!
from Staten Island , ny
After being hit with hurricane sandy I had no choice but to buy maytag centennial washer and dryer . Bad choice. My clothes never were wet enough after a full wash and dark clothes came out with white lint on them every wash, now 2 and 1/2 yrs later the machine gets stuck on the spin cycle. Repair man said to go and buy another machine because it doesn't pay to repair this piece of junk , may tag offered me an extended warranty for a price of 350 dollars . I told them forget it . I rather use my money to get a brand new machine . And not may tag
