[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old Maytag cooktop had ceramic grates and electronic ignitors.. Over time the ceramic began to chip away and didn't look as nice. However, the real real I purchased a new cooktop was because my coffee pot overflowed and water got into the electronics and shorted out the ignitors. For a long time I has to use a lighter to light the cooktop. after a while I wearied of constantly lighting the cooktop with the hand lighter. It took me a while to get used to the larger sized cooktop. The grates were cast iron and higher than the last one. However, now that I've learned how it operates, I love it. The only issue I had was that it was a bit expensive. Nonetheless, I don't expect to ever have to buy another one.

Great cooking and Easy cleaning
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a warranty replacement. I was thinking it wouldn’t be as good as the original but it is much better. I love cooking/eating bacon and the splattered grease can be difficult to clean up as it tends to smear streaks on the surface. But this new cooktop is very easy to clean, the grates are not as heavy as the previous one and the surface just wipes clean with a paper towel and leaves on grease residue.

It’s the a great cooktop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the burners grids. No faulty welds to cause uneven levels. My pots and pans sit firm on the stop top. The burners even the smallest do not go low enough. They remain hot even on the lowest setting and I can’t find a diffuser thick enough to avoid burning.

couldn't wait to start cooking

Before we moved in we had to clean house, paint walls and repair flooring. Thought we could keep the old stuff for now and get new appliances later down the road. Walked in one day and kept hearing click...click...click...it was the old stove trying to start. We unplugged it right away and ordered a new one. This is so much nicer. I love how it cooks even and quickly. Haven't had any issues. Highly recommend.

Moving pans and pots around is easy. The cleaning is simple and moving the grates is no problem. I saw someone saying how heavy they are. If 7 pounds is too much to just move a grate with two hands, then it’s not the makers problem. And it heats evenly on all the different burners.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Despite still learning how high the heat gets on all of the individual burners I love our 5-burner gas cooktop. Our old GE 4-burner while adequate does not match up to this Maytag. I love the sleek stainless steel look and the cleanup is much easier than our old cooktop. There is adequate space between the burners so multiple large pots may be utilized at once without feeling cramped. My initial attempt at making coconut jasmine rice resulted in a boil over I never experienced on my GE but as I said earlier, the cleanup was a breeze and I've learned how to control the heat enough since then.
