Comments about Maytag 4.5 Cu. Ft. Top Loading Washer - White:
I have had the machine for about a month now. Right out of the box the installation was a breeze. The instructions to use the machine was helpful in getting you started with your first load. Definitely a good choice for my family.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

On the fence about this washer...
I really wanted to like this washer as I needed the larger capacity and didn't want another front loader. I also like the idea of no agitator in the middle and less water use. So after reading a lot of reviews we settled on the Bravos. I love the large drum and can get a lot of clothes washed in less time. Skeptical that there is enough water being used to clean the clothes. After drying some loads there are white spots of laundry soap on some items. I typically only use a tablespoon or less of soap; have been doing that for years with our HE washing machines. When washing a lot of jeans or other clothes with strings (like capris with ties or sweat pants) the clothes get all twisted and tied together making it a mess when the load is done! I have to untangle everything and shake each pair of jeans out before I dry them. I would rather just pull them out and throw into the dryer. I like that there is a setting to clean the washer and a reminder to do this. My old front loader had horrible mold problems and my husband was tired of taking the entire drum apart so we could clean it. It was awful! I hope the Bravos will stay cleaner.

I'm amazed it does so wonderful.
Love this washer.
I bought the washer and dryer both and absolutely love them.

Overall, I am very positive regarding the outcomes of this machine. I do really like it. It holds many clothes and does a good job cleaning them.I gave it four stars because I have to watch it when I have a bulky item (like a large bedspread). It can have problems with this choice during any spinning and actually does better with choosing "sheets".

I am very happy with my new top load washer. It is easy to use and my clothes are clean.
Gets the Job Done
Has worked fine for first 4 months of use. The only issue i had right out of the box was that I had to get used to the spin speed settings. Wrinkles were setting in jeans, but then I just changed the setting and it worked fine. Perhaps a little too much technology for me though, I only use a handful of the settings.
Don't like this machine

I don't care for the water saving technique on this machine. I feel my clothes are not properly cleaned. Also, the spin cycle is entirely too strong. I don't dry some of my clothes and I feel the wrinkles don't come out when I fluff dry.

I bought this washer in March and I've been very happy with it. It has great capacity and really cleans our laundry.

This is my first new washer in over 20 years! I was hesitant to buy one without an aggitater but I'm impressed. However the only complaint I have is when washing sheets they get tangled up and I have to untangle them or the unit will not work- I end up having to wash one sheet at a time. You have to get used to longer wash cycles versus the old type with the aggitaters.
