Comments about Microsoft Elite Wireless Controller for Xbox One:
Bought the controller a year ago and like many on here I liked the controller. The left bumper stuck and after contacting Microsoft they told sorry there is nothing they can do because it is out of there abysmal 90 day warranty. Save your money and stick with the controllers that come with the console.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Favorite peripheral for my Xbox and PC
I've had it for just a couple of months shy of a year now, and it is still fantastic. I find it to be very durable and sturdy, but I'm sure that the longevity without issue comes with proper care of the controller. Feels heavy and balanced (a feature I love), grips are great, I love using the taller thumb sticks, and the paddles on the back work great when I play any of the Forza games. My only complaint is no bluetooth connectivity. If they ever come out with ones you can make in the Design Lab, you better believe I'll be getting a second one.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The best controller hands down
Not built to last
Save your money because this controller is not built to last. I loved the controller at first, but after a year of use the right thumb stick is broken. Spoke with Microsoft about some sort of repair options but they pretty much said to buy a new one. Sad that this broken this fast but the stock controller (2 years old) works like a charm...
The only way to go
I love it . It helped with my gaming.

Very well cared for, and LB broke after a few months. Save yourself the money and headache

Broke after only 6 months of use. Right and left bumpers broke. The Left bumper actually fell out when I was playing a game. For the price you would expect the whole controller to be quality made but they went cheap on the bumpers and it shows. Bumpers are all plastic and are connected together in the middle and this is where the break is happening and then the buttons become extremely loose to where they will fall out or get jammed. Where as the original controllers that come with the console are independent and much more robust. Do a little research and you will find this is the weak point of the controller and there are many many accounts of the same problem.
Because Microsoft did not allow my previous review. I'll put it this way. I have this controller and take very good care of it. The warranty is horrible and there is no repair program in place for it. Mine is less than a year old and falling apart. The grips are coming off. My left thumbstick drifts (no recalibration software for it) and the right thumbstick is cracked inside and loose.
This product breaks very quickly and easily.
