Sleek and Powerful
Comments about Microsoft Surface Pro 4 12.3" Intel Core i7 Dual Core 256GB Tablet:
I really like this tablet. Full desktop performance in a great size. Good looking too. Pretty quiet most of the time, the fan comes on during video playback and during the light gaming I have done, but hey it's an i7, it's going to make some heat. I wish it would come with some kind of base-level keyboard, as I don't think it's an actual functional productivity tool without one. On the upside, the keyboard covers that are available are really good. I bought the one with the fingerprint reader and it is a really good keyboard. Not just good for a tablet, but I like it better than the keyboard on the laptop it replaced.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Battery life poor
By Chris 1234
Disappointed with battery life, metering estimate seems to be random and constantly varies from 2-7 hrs with only simple apps running, actual run time only 2-3 hrs with web browser , mail or simple game
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
enjoying the unit. had a very hard time getting my Microsoft account straightened out. as of right now the only place I can get apps is from the Microsoft store. without an account you are at a stand still. guess I finally got the right combination and my account allowed me to start getting apps. have not put the unit through any test yet. good set of clear sounding speakers and the volume will go high enough to let me enjoy streaming movies. picture quality is very good also from the little i have experimented with the device. special charging cord for the surface. it is not a usb charging cord. had to do some internet surfing to figure out where the sd port was. the running internet program is Microsoft edge. it will not let my Norton virus do it's job. now all this could be that I am not that in touch with the electronic world as well as I should be for this device. but I think I am up for the challenge. (hint: I still like the rotary dial phones of old) I have always like Microsoft/windows products. I would buy this device again just wish I had known more about the unit before it arrived.

Not loving it yet
I was encouraged by co-workers to upgrade to a Surface Pro 4. I have had it for four days so far, and I am not loving it. It is not breakthrough, it is not fast, even with the fastest processor and upgraded memory for which I paid, and is difficult to work with on the most fundamental programs such as Google Earth (you cannot zoom on the image using the touchscreen). I am having to relearn everything. I run Windows 10 in both my office and home, and this does not work the same, it does not have all of the functionality. Some of this may be operator error, but out of the box I am having to tell this unit how to do everything, that was not the case on my other two computers. VERY high learning curve, this should not be this way for a tablet in the modern era at this price point.

Purchased a few months ago. Windows 10 still buggy as they work on it. Given the specifications I purchased, it does not perform up to expectation on basic processes and apps. Would like to return but I believe it's past return date.
very difficult to get things set up and to learn
I bought the Surface Pro 4 to hopefully use instead of carrying around my laptop. So far, I am not happy. It is difficult to figure out, the battery life is too short, and maybe I am doing something wrong but, I have been using computers for a LONG time.

V good speed Functional Better than Lap Top light I can run my 2 businesses
Does it all, and more
So, I went for the top on processor and memory, I dont need that much storage as I use cloud storage. I got the dock as well. Now I have the surface and 2 other monitors running. I am a "do it all" software startup executive. I dont code but I product manage, CTO, COO, sales, support, and call it the blender position. With this machine I can be mobile, light, and not have to carry the huge bag. It makes me more effective. I dont know if I got lucky, or if the process has improved, but I have no defects, and am getting good battery life.

Battery life is worst (only 3.5 hrs)
I bought icore 7 model ,sad about the battery life it works not more than three and half hours on browsing and on office word. Microsoft have to find a way to maintain the advertised 9 hours!!!!! I am recommending this powerful machnie with reservation on its very short battery life.
Happy, Happy, Happy
Bought the new Surface Pro 4 to replace my Surface Pro 3. Wanted extra RAM, new processor, and other new features. The Surface Pro 4 allows me to have laptop processing power on the go, in a mobile friendly package. Only issue I've had is that sometimes the device won't wake up from sleep. Microsoft said they addressed this in an update, but I still experience the issue and have all updates installed. I circumvented the problem by setting the surface to hibernate instead of sleep. No more issues.
