Definitely more comfortable than the xbox 360 controllers. No problems so far.

When it's connected via the USB it functions wonderfully but running it wirelessly strips it of most of its features as it becomes a non-Microsoft controller. At this point you cannot use the Xbox button as it no longer works, you cannot tell how much battery power you have left & because of the latter there is no warning when the battery is low & it just dies mid-game. This is not a hardware issue but a software problem that Microsoft is failing to deal with.

You get what you pay for. This is the top of the line controller
Great, solid feel. Responsive and headphone jack.
Bought as a second control for new console. Might not need as most games are only multi-player online ONLY. Split-screen play in the same room seems to be dying. The built in headphone jack is a plus. Works fine, but limited instructions made it difficult to get the headset working. Found instructions online and works great. Seems responsive and built very well. Not a big gamer, so not much to compare to. Kids seem to love it.

Only dropped my x1 controller out of my lap which was maximum 3 feet and the controller quit working."Feels solid and is better built compared to the older controllers" absolutely not, my 7 xbox 360 controllers have been through abuse to the max including throwing one threw a wall and they still work completely including all the buttons. My x1 controller won't even turn on after that 3 ft fall. It would be great if you guys made things to last, but hey where's the profit in that?
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Awesome, exactly the same as what came with my console.
MUST HAVE ITEM if you're a GAMER
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 22yr old Grandson. He hasn't gotten the gift yet, but I'm sure he'll be excited.
I have used these controllers since the Xbox One was released. I find them very responsive.
New controllers are a mixed bag
Addition of 3.5mm jack is great. On board volume/mute wouldv'e been nice. Thumbsticks are cheap & less precise--miss the 360 sticks. Overall feels good in the hand.
