Defective, but still inferior even if it worked.
Comments about Microsoft Xbox One S Halo Collection Bundle (500GB):
Thank goodness they only took three days to ship me a broken system. The first immediate problem is that it overheats and shuts itself off. No real reason for it, I've put it in a number of well ventilated places, so clearly somethings wrong inside it. And then, even if that wasn't an issue, it takes so long to actually USE the stupid thing. On top of updating the controller (what even?) after the initial system update, You cant even play a game you put in until after it spends about an hour installing it from the disc. But wait, there's more! When you try to launch the newly installed game, you're told that you need to update it first, with no option for playing offline while the update downloads in the background. This is such a step backwards for console gaming. I can think of at least three other systems in the past that did have this. Not worth the time it takes to get a game playable, not worth the money for a console that wont stay on for more than five minutes.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This is my second Xbox One. This console is so much smaller than the original and the removal of the power brick makes fit perfectly with my home entertainment center. The controller is also amazing. It's the same as the original, except the gripping is better and it has a 35mm headphone jack.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I love it, the size is great compared to the original and, I love that it came with Halo 5.

I bought my Xbox one s about 2 weeks ago and I have regretted it every day I for one with I would have gotten a 1tb system but other than that the system doesn't run smoothly like I would think a new game system should

Xbox One S Review
Best bundle for the Xbox one. The Xbox comes with two amazing games, 4K bluray player which looks great on my TV. I really enjoy this console, and recommend people to buy.
Terrible video processing
Video from bluray and streaming have alot of mpeg artifacts looks really blocky on my 4K lg I returned it after trying several settings with no quality improvement. Hooked up my old Panasonic bluray and it doesn't have the blocky picture issue.i don't game so I can't comment on that

You'll grow Old waiting to play
I purchased my new Xbox One S last week and received it yesterday Wed. Oct 12 I was very excited to receive the system and finally set it up to play. The physical set up was easy as can be with only two cords it was hooked up in no time. The nightmare begins once the system is actually turned on. Immediately your informed that you need to update your system (30min), set up your profile or whatever I get another message saying my controller needs to be updated! (10min), insert the free Halo 5 I received with the bundle game needs to INSTALL! nearly 2 hours!. After the game finished installing I start up the game so I thought and I'm hit with another message telling me I had to update the GAME! this update took over 6 hours! I'm sure I'll love the game once I get to play but who knows I'm writing this review on my lunch break at work

My Xbox broke in under a week for no reason
By Offense Austin
I was very excited to use my xbox one s until I took everything out of the box. its like an iPhone 7 without any of the adapters. Not only that apparently you can't stand it on its side without buying a separate stand. On top of that it stopped but irking completely forgot to no a apparent reason in under a week. Microsoft dropped the ball on this completely.

Other than being a gaming console, this is the hub of your home entertainment. As gaming console is awesome. And the fact that it is a 4k blu ray player with HDR, it's even better, much better. Now, why would Microsoft use on this machine a 4k player that does not decode object based surround sound is beyond me. The fact that most 4k blu ray discs will be decoded in Dolby Atmos and DTS X surround, and the Xbox one S not be able to decode this is absurd. I bought a different player to be able to get the full spectrum of 4k movie viewing. I certainly hope Microsoft looks into this, and makes a firmware update and then it will have a 5 star rating.

I just bought this yesterday and While I love my older Xbox One still (It's now my bedroom system) this newer system (S) is much faster, more responsive and the graphics are amazing.. I do miss the kinect on it but at least I still have the kinect on bedroom system.
