Besides being able to set a schedule, I purchased three optional temperature sensors and placed them in our three primary rooms which are not near the central thermostat. Now I can specify which room controls the temperature setting. The thermostat is still learning and so are we! But so far it’s great.

I love that we can control it from the thermostat itself OR the Nest app. So handy to be able to control from bed or when coming home to a cold house. And the fact that it figured out our schedule was amazing! Way to go, Google.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We feel the difference I put a Nest Learning thermostat in the main portion of our house a year ago - super easy installation and I'm not highly skilled in that department. Two wires and done. Install the app, connect to wifi and it's operational.I love the data that becomes available and it's definitely "learning." I also liked being able to turn the heat up from a distance while we were on a vacation in November. House was warm when we got home. Nice.I had my work cut out for me trying to make a second Nest work with my propane heat stove but after some serious research, I found a work-around and that one's working like a champ, too.I'm happy with both units.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great We replaced a standard Honeywell with the nest. The biggest thing for me was to be able to control the thermostat remotely. The fan controls are not as good as the other thermostat where you can set the fan to on or circulate, there doesn’t seem to be an option for that but otherwise I have no complaints so far. I like the aesthetics of the device and the wall plate saved me from having to make a repair before mounting the thermostat which was also helpful. We tried a Honeywell wifi thermostat before returning it for the nest mainly because of the poor app interface on that one. I’d recommend the nest to anyone looking for simplicity and ease.

The warning message if system is running too long gives opportunity to adjust thermostat settings or position of other temperature sensors .

Had some difficulty with the automatic drop in temperature when I had left the house. I did not want it to do that. I finally figured out how to turn off. Since then, it has been working like a champ. Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Device! Three people recommended we purchase a NEST Thermostat, and boy am I glad we did. We bought an older home that had been rented out for 6 years after the previous owner had died. I think the thermostat was at lease 10-20 years old, all I know is that it was impossible to program anymore. We paid an electrician to install the NEST but frankly I could have done it myself. I did install it myself on my iPhone and it was simple. It is easy to program from the thermostat itself and even easier from the iPhone. I find that I am sitting on the couch and turning the heat on and off since I don't need to get up anymore. If it is set for 70, it goes off when it reaches 70 not 72 or 74, and goes on again at 69, not 67 or 68. We are thrilled with our purchase!

Having the app allows me to be able to check on the temp, turn on or off the heating/cooling, and to set/alter a heating/cooling schedule. Being able to see the actual use history is also a big help and gives me great information about how to manage my house's energy use.

Does it read out humidity? The 3 inch Honeywell has a humidity readout.

This Model You Can Get only get the Relative Humidity under Technical info on the actual product.Only The app. will tell you the inside humidity.
