Battery died after 3 weeks
Comments about Oral B Oral-B Vitality Pro White Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush:
Battery died after only 3 weeks of use. Tried to change the battery but had to bend the contact back, and can't bend it back to make it work again. Turns out, this has been happening and Oral B has been getting this feedback at least as far back as 2010, and still hasn't fixed the design. Another review noted the packaging suggested throwing the toothbrush away and buying a new one when the battery died. What a waste of money, and absolutely zero environmental consideration. Which is really too bad, I like the toothbrush but will never buy another one.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great brush... Unit you need to change the battery
I was absolutely loving this toothbrush until it stopped vibrating. It started to occasionally stop during brushing then it quit all together with less than 1 month of use. No problem I thought, I'll replace the battery. Wow, what a terrible design. To get the battery out you have to bend the tabs which of course make it impossible to get contact when you put a new battery in.
Doesn't work after replacing battery
Love the Pulsar action and the comfortable feeling in your hand. However, once you need to replace the battery, it stops working. Disappointed in the need to replace battery and then not have the toothbrush work!

This product is a miracle worker and moneysaver!
I do not have to buy any more teeth whitening kits thanks to this brush! It cleans and whitens your teeth better than any other toothbrush I ever used in my life!! My mouth never felt cleaner and fresher! After boasting so much, my whole family and friends are also convinced! Thank you for this great product!
The product has no speed control
from Shelby twp, mi
I have another Oral-B toothbrush in Florida with speed controls. This 1000 brush actually is too fast for me. Wish I knew before purchasing it!
Teeth are so clean!
from Houston, TX
This is exactly what I needed. The angles are perfect to get every little bit of plaque off the teeth. Using in conjunction with a whitening toothpaste, I feel like I just left the dentist!

WAS A Great Toothbrush
from Cody, WY
I really like this toothbrush, but Oral B no longer includes a brush cover! It is a mystery to me why. Was the cost of a little plastic cover too high? My wife also is disappointed. We no longer take this toothbrush with us while we travel and are reluctant to use it since you cannot protect the brush head from touching anything unsanitary.
Oral-B Pro 3000
from Crozet, VA
I want to start by saying that I received this product for free from Oral-B for the purpose of this unbiased review. I have never used a electric toothbrush before, but had been thinking of getting one and my dentist recommended that I get one. I have been using the Oral-B Pro 3000 for just over a month and the other reviews i have read are spot on. You feel like you just got out of the dentist chair. Over the past few weeks i have noticed my teeth getting whiter and whiter, with no other change other than the toothbrush. I can't wait until my next check-up to see what the dentist has to say. One thing I would like to note as i did not read the directions first, is to be sure to have the toothbrush in your mouth before turning it on. It only takes once to make that mistake. I didn't have much experience with the Bluetooth features, as my primary phone died on me about a week or two in. In conclusion, anyone in the market for an electric toothbrush, look no further. I intend to order a few replacement heads and let my wife take it for a "spin"

Great brushing - might be gimicky - or maybe not
from Bangor, WI
First and foremost, this is a toothbrush. I had no expectations that a Bluetooth device had a place in my bathroom but I wanted to give the Pro 3000 a fair shot. I brush every day and floss regularly so this was not going to be a big change in routine for me. The brush itself was pretty much what I had expected. The brush turns on, I get an indication at 15 seconds that it is time to move to the next quadrant of my mouth and finish. One nice extra is that there is a visual indication of a red light if you press too hard. Compared to an older Oral-B and also to a more recent Sonicare it had a great deal more power and was a bit louder but that did not prove to me that it was better cleaning. After 6 weeks of brushing and flossing, what did prove the performance was not the toothbrush but rather my floss. At the risk of being a bit graphic, most times that I floss my gums bleed quite a bit. This is just something that I have come to expect. I pay extra for special cleanings because of it. After 6 weeks I am having almost no bleeding when I floss! Score one for Oral-B! So on to the Bluetooth feature. I think that for an adult with an established routine, it is probably a bit of a gimmick to have an app running on your phone while brushing... maybe. I say maybe because there is one feature with the app that I think is really great. The app gives you the opportunity to specify 'focus' areas that might need extra brushing. You are presented with a map of your mouth and you simply click each section. By default, an additional 10 seconds of brushing is added for each focus section at the end of your full brushing. In fact, the app even shows you graphically where to brush during these added times. As I said, I think the app is a bit silly if you have a routine but what really makes it a win is that the toothbrush 'remembers' your focused brushing locations even if you aren't using the app! So, I complete the 4 quadrants and instead of indicating that I am finished by pulsing four times, it goes on until I do the extra areas. Fantastic! Ok so maybe I am getting a little too excited about being able to program my toothbrush and only my next dental cleaning will tell if it really makes a difference but for now, I am sold. Note: I received this toothbrush from the manufacturer for evaluation and my honest review.
