Better Than Expected
from West Valley City, UT
Comments about Oral B Oral-B Vitality Pro White Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush:
I received the Oral B Pro-Health Pulsar Toothbrush for free from Oral-B. This review will be short since there isn't too much to go on about. For me, the toothbrush worked better than expected. My mouth and teeth did seem to feel cleaner after the times that I used it. For some the vibrating might be too much but for myself it wasn't too bad. I would definitely recommend this toothbrush for someone to try and see how it works for them.

Oral-B Pro 3000 - Oral Hygiene tracker
from Glendale, CA
So after a few weeks of using the Oral-B Pro 3000, I have some helpful feedback for both the consumer and Oral-B. Full disclosure - I received this product for free from the good folks at Oral-B. Here we go! Function: So, the main point of the innovations seen with the Oral-B Pro 3000 is to ensure you hit your oral hygiene goals (who knew I was even supposed to have such goals?!). You can aim for whiter teeth, fresher breath, and so on. I shot for fresher breath, because I really wanted to see if improving my brushing habits would reduce my need for chewing gum throughout the day. The setup was pretty easy. I just had to download an app for my iPhone and sync the toothbrush to its Bluetooth. One surprise is that you have to charge the toothbrush for nearly a day before using it. I can't think of one other electronic device I own that requires such a thing... Luckily, I read the instructions shortly after un-boxing, which left enough time for a decent charge before my morning routine. The toothbrush stand is very convenient in that it charges the wand, holds extra brushing tips, and has a decently small footprint. The brush synced up very easily the first time. However, the success rate dropped significantly over time. I often found myself spending more time trying to sync the brush up than I did brushing my teeth. This is certainly a *needs improvement* feature. In order to sync, you must turn the wand on and off. It takes using it a few times before you start to remember to sync first, then apply toothpaste. Too many times have I ended up splattering toothpaste all over myself and the bathroom for messing the order up! One feature I found very interesting is the pressure sensor and indicator. If you begin brushing with "too much pressure" a red light on the wand will flash as a warning. This is also tracked on the app. However, I wonder how they determine what too much pressure is and how accurate the sensor is. The Journey: So, the coaching works like this... You select an oral hygiene journey to embark on. The app coaches you through brushing, flossing, mouthwash usage, etc. For brushing, the app provides a 2 minute timer that is broken up into 30 second intervals. The wand will vibrate at these intervals as well, which is handy. As you brush, the app will display your local weather and some news stories. Of course, the app cleverly recommends different products to use from the brand. The app will track your execution of brushing and so on daily over a couple of weeks. The Product: Although this product is marketed as a "professional" toothbrush, the design looks much more like the standard colorful brushes you see in the retail store. The motorized brush head works as could be expected if you've ever used one before. The wand is designed such that you get all of the feedback information independently from the mobile app, which is a huge plus given the inconsistency with Bluetooth syncing. A great improvement will be to store the brushing activity in the wand to be synced later at any time much like activity trackers do. As of now, you must sync the app first, and that is your only chance to track the brushing activity. The wand is a bit weighty, but it feels pretty natural in the hand. It is fairly easy to clean and maintain. My Take: Overall, the clumsiness with Bluetooth syncing made the journey a hassle. After a week of fumbling with the Bluetooth connectivity, I decided to ditch it and pay attention to the feedback from the wand. The indicators for excessive pressure and 30 second intervals built into the wand made it easy to keep up my regiment. I wish the toothbrush was a little less festive and colorful. I prefer a simpler look. I am not really fond of sharing my oral hygiene habits with my social networks either. I don't think anyone really cares for such personal and mundane information. If you have time to mess around with syncing your brush to your phone every morning and you want some oral hygiene coaching/accountability, I recommend this product. Personally, I don't typically have my phone with me in the bathroom, so this is a bit of a hassle for me. However, considering that the main feature of this brush is its tracking via Bluetooth, this product is in great need of improvement. Here's a summary: Good: - Motorized head works great - Toothbrush stand is convenient - 30 second interval timer built into wand - Excessive pressure indicator - App has some pretty clever features Bad: - Bluetooth syncing is unreliable - A two minute activity turns into a five minute activity easily - Must be synced first to track activity - Color scheme is unprofessional
Good Clean but a Strange Device
from Cookeville, TN
I admit that I may be a bit biased because I use an electric toothbrush on a regular basis, but I found the Oral B Pro-Health Pulsar Toothbrush to be a bit strange. The toothbrush itself provides a satisfactory clean, but the "pulsar technology" doesn't seem to make a difference other than to vibrate my arm while I brush my teeth. While I appreciate being able to try this product for free from Oral B, I do not think I will be adding this into the rotation because I feel like my electric toothbrush gives a better clean without the uncomfortable vibrations.

I received this product from Oral-B about a month ago. This is the best toothbrush I have ever used. I am listing the following reasons everyone should consider purchasing the Oral-B 1. Motor powerful and you get a thorough clean 2. Your teeth feel as if they were polished 3. Able to reach in back of your teeth with the design of the toothbrush head 4. You pick up better brushing habits with their suggestions such as brushing longer 5. Helps whiten teeth It comes with an phone app that I did not fine useful, I would suggest that it writes a skill for Amazon Echo.
Oral-B Pro 3000

I have been using this toothbrush for the last 3 weeks, and my smile does appear brighter. I like the interchangeable heads, and the rechargeable battery. I also like when the toothbrush tells me I am brushing to hard. The only item I disliked was the app. First my smartphone does not work well in the bathroom and second I don't care to have it in the bathroom with me. Otherwise, the toothbrush works very well and I am happy with the results.
High Tech Toothbrush!
from HAMPDEN, MA
I am familiar with Oral-B electric toothbrushes, having used them in the past. Since they've been so durable, I haven't had to buy a new one in quite sometime. I would, however, recommend upgrading to this one if you haven't already. The Oral-B Pro 3000 is a toothbrush for the modern, high tech person. One of the biggest advantages of this toothbrush, in my opinion, is that it comes with bluetooth technology. It is amazing what you can control on this toothbrush! You can download their app for free and I have to say I was really weary at first. I thought, why would you need an app to help you brush your teeth? Well, you certainly don't NEED it, but it sure does come in handy for some things! The toothbrush has three settings on it - daily clean, sensitive and massaging. Normally, whatever order they are in on your toothbrush is what you get. Using the app, however, allows you to choose which settings you want AND which order they are in! Brilliant! Like other electric toothbrushes, this vibrates to let you know how long you've been brushing. Typically, they would vibrate every 30 secs until the 2 minutes are up. With this one, however, you can choose whether you want it to vibrate every 20 or 30 secs, up to the 2 minute mark. You can also adjust the timer too, if you need/want to brush longer, especially if you have trouble spots. There are options as to which timer you'd like to see while brushing as well, and if you're a person who struggles with brushing the full 2 minutes, you can opt to watch a slideshow of your pictures, or videos, or get oral tips while brushing. Keeps you occupied, I guess, while brushing along. I haven't used that option though. Another cool feature that I want to touch on is the 'journeys' you can go on. There are several journeys you can choose from. While on a journey, you can't adjust all the options, as it is set for you, but you don't really need to either. The options are: Fresh Breath, Plaque Fighter, Gum Health and Ortho Care. These journeys last a specific amount of time. I took the Plaque Fighter journey. It was 28 days long and I thought it worked well. I didn't really notice a difference in my teeth at the end of it, but I've been a great brusher for a long time already. :-) Once you complete your journey, you earn a "trophy". There are other things you earn trophies for as well: 7 day brushing streak, oral care reminders, midnight brusher, etc. Last, but not least, is the "professional guidance" option in the app. This allows your dentist to customize our dental care routine. I haven't been to the dentist since receiving this toothbrush, but it looks pretty straight-forward. I could see this as being a great tool for some people. There are other things you can do with this toothbrush while using the app, but I'm not going to go into all of them. Overall, this app, in my opinion, puts this toothbrush over the top. However, even without the app, it's still a great toothbrush! I like that there are different speeds of brushing that you can use (my other toothbrushes had one speed) and there's a red light on the toothbrush that will go on if you're pushing too hard while brushing. The first time I got an electric toothbrush was because I was brushing too hard. If you are in the same boat, this toothbrush will help with that. It notifies you instantly when it's too much pressure (and the app records it too.) The only thing I'd critique on the Oral-B Pro 3000 is connecting with the app. It's probably more of an app issue than anything, but sometimes it was tricky connecting. The toothbrush has a memory so you can sync every once in a while, instead of always having your bluetooth on and nearby when brushing. Comes in handy when you forget to turn on your bluetooth! LOL I received this Oral-B Pro 3000 for free from Oral-B to try out and give my honest review of this product. My review is my own and I am in no way associated with this company.

I received this Oral-B Pro 3000 for free from Oral-B to try out and give my honest review of this product. My review is my own and I am in no way associated with this company. I have been using this toothbrush for several weeks now. I have never used a toothbrush like this before. I love it and will never go back to a manual or battery operated toothbrush again. This wonderful toothbrush really cleans your teeth well. I flossed after the first time I used it to see how well it gets in them hard to reach areas and between the teeth that you normally can not get with a toothbrush and there was very little stuff that was in between my teeth. The speed of this thing is great and it can be adjusted. It massages the teeth and gums and does not irritate them. The charge on it lasts me for over a week and it does not loose power as the battery gets low. I love it and have been telling everyone I know to go get one of these.
My thoughts on the Oral B Health Pulsar toothbrush
from Saint Paul, MN
I have used both manual and electric toothbrushes so I wasn't sure what to expect from a battery operated toothbrush. What I like about the toothbrush - It's a standard size and easy to operate - I don't like to bring my electric toothbrush with me when I travel, this would be easy to pack - The price isn't as high as I thought it would be What I don't like - the head is much larger than my manual or electric toothbrush, I find it hard to use - only the top part of the toothbrush has bristles, I don't feel that my teeth get as clean as a toothbrush that has bristles around the outside an the plastic bristles on the inside - I don't like that the battery can't be replaced. It's an ok toothbrush, but I prefer the Oral B electric.
from Austin, TX
I think that the Oral B Pro-Health Pulsar is pretty fancy. I've never used an electric toothbrush before, but growing up my Dad had one that his dentist made him use. I always wanted one but was never told to get one by my dentist and it seemed like a bit of a luxury. But having gotten the Pulsar for free from Oral B I think I've changed my mind. Sure it's more expensive than a regular toothbrush but I feel like it must be cleaning my teeth much better. And it's not bulky at all so it still fits in my toothbrush holder. Plus it runs on batteries so no charging. I think I've found a really nice happy medium that makes me feel like I'be got a fancy luxury toothbrush but it's totally approachable.
I like it!
from Knoxville, TN
This is the first electric toothbrush I've owned. I have fairly good oral hygiene already, and use good-quality toothpaste and mouthwash daily. All that being said, I like this toothbrush (and not just because it was free from Oral-B)! Day 1 - I unpacked the toothbrush. So far, so good. Assembly is easy, but the entire base is really pretty large for my limited counter space, and the charger itself is too wobbly to leave there on its own. Oh well. Plugged it in for the first full charge, which took 19.5 hours. Day 2 - Downloaded the app. Connecting via Bluetooth to my iPhone 6 was straightforward, although I have trouble remembering to shut the Bluetooth off following my toothbrushing so it won't kill my phone. After one week - I'm still drooling all over myself when using this toothbrush. My teeth feel much cleaner, and my gums feel more healthy. I don't know if it's really whitening my teeth, since I was using whitening products already, but for the clean feeling alone, I'm happy. After two weeks - Finally stopped drooling all over myself. After feeling a little more comfortable with the toothbrush, I've noticed I've been applying more pressure to my teeth, but the "stop light" pressure warning system worked. I like that feature, and as the photo shows, you won't miss it - it's a bright light! I still enjoy the app, not necessarily because it has the timer feature (the toothbrush lets you know when it's time to move quadrants in your mouth), but I like being able to flip through short, bite-sized news stories, weather, and photos while I'm brushing. The only downsides I found are that the toothbrush doesn't come with any sort of travel case, and it seems to be a little bit loud. All that being said, though, I'd certainly pay for the quality of clean and for how healthy my gums feel after using this brush.
