Replacing a prior Panasonic model
We have purchased Panasonic cordless phones in the past and were always satisfied. Our oldest model needed an update so I purchased this model as a Christmas gift. So far we have been very happy with it. Our only complaint is the pronunciation of names when a call comes in: I understand that it is phonetically based, but it would be a nice feature to record your own pronunciation for frequent callers.
Don't have to carry my cell around the house.
This Bluetooth phone set is so convenient. I can answer my cell and land line from any phone in the house. These phones even let me know when I have a text on my cell. Sound is clear and there are many features like call block, silent, etc.
First new phone in 18 years
from North Carolina, USA
I've had the phones for a couple of weeks and I've had no issues and am happy with the product. I have not use the Bluetooth to sync my cell phone yet. The sound quality and speaker phone volume is very good. I work from home one day a week and most of it is spent on conference calls. I do notice that they charge slowly so I may have to use multiple handsets during a full day. I know some reviews did not like having to enter codes to perform setup tasks. It does require you to keep the manual close (or remember where you put it), but the instructions are easy to follow. I do not use many advanced functions so I figure it is a 'Set it and leave it' task. I marked a Pro as inexpensive. I selected that because you get 5 handsets and a base unit/answering machine.
Excellent 5 handset system
from Central Florida
An excellent telephone system with many features, even if you don't need them all, they are on standby for you, and you can switch them on or off for your choice. Very clear reception. Noise reduction is a nice feature.
good bang for the buck
I've had this phone for a couple weeks now. Nothing to really complain about. Although the build quality seems to have diminished somewhat from my previous Panasonic phone. Also, I don't know why they did away with the flashing light on each handset when there's a new voicemail. I guess the other issue that bugs me is that the rechargeable batteries are only rated at 400mah. The previous phone from 6 years ago at least included 600mah batteries. Why in the world did they go backwards on the batteries. How much could they really he saving on costs, seriously?
The EZ way to connect to everone and ievery place.
from Frankfort, IL, USA
We found that this product was very EZ to use and setup. Put on belt or pocket and go.
Replaced an existing Panasonic with this beauty
from Pearl River, NY, USA
We owned an existing Panasonic system, my wife uses it to work from home on Fridays and I use it every day We upgraded mainly because with Iphones, syncing to the home phone was very appealing Transferring of the iphone phonebooks went quickly and efficently, unfortunately we couldnt get the phone book from the existing Panasonic but most were in our Iphones anyway
Great phone for a large house and property
from Seattle, WA, USA
We needed a replacement for our very very old Panasonic GigaRange cordless phone. We wanted a phone with: * multiple handsets * extendable range * Easy-to-find replaceable rechargeable batteries (not proprietary) * Long range for our 4 story house on 5 acres * Answering machine feature * CallerID We found the KX-TG787x series and it fit the list perfectly! We were able to choose how many handsets we needed, and a range extender is available. We like that we can have a handset on each of the four floors of our house. The base unit is in the family room, and the range extender on our top floor. We can use the phones through the whole house as well as on most of our forested 5 acres. The USB charging port is a nice feature. And something we didn't expect is that all the settings are automatically copied to all of the handsets. You can even check messages from any handset without going to the base station. We like the voice CallerID, but it can be turned off. One thing that we don't like is that there are very few volume settings. And none of them is very loud.
Still want a land line but...
By Home land line needed
from St Louis, MO, USA
We still want a land line but use our cell phone more then the land line. We bought this phone since it will connect by bluetooth to two cell phones. It is easy to set up and use. The voice quality with the cell and land line is excellent. We have no complaints. The phone also has all the regular features of a land line such as the answering machine, speaker phone and caller ID. We think that this phone system is worth the cost.
