Comments about RCA 0.7 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave - White:

Basically, this is a holiday/housewarming gift for our niece, who got her own place after living in our spare room for several years. Her current apartment came semi-furnished but without a microwave, which means she still has to come over if she wants popcorn or to "nuke" a quick meal, as the toaster-oven we got her for college takes too long to heat.

It's underpowered by the standards of our home microwave, but for a single woman in her first apartment it's fine. It has a number pad rather than the dial of cheap microwaves for more precision microwaving, along with a selection of recommended settings for things like popcorn, reheating food, and frozen entrees - which covers pretty much everything she cooks.

I wouldn't recommend it for a family kitchen, but for someone just out of college moving into their first apartment, or a small office where cooking isn't a priority, it's a good choice.
