Comments about Samsung 1.7 Cu. Ft. Over-The-Range Microwave - Stainless Steel:
if u r buying this product just becuase it looks great , Dont fool urself .Because , how it gets the job done is all matters. I bought this microwave in sep 2015 from pc richard. First thing i saw on the microwave screen when i hook it up was an ERROR . "EA-1". brand new out of the box "Samsung" microwave didnt worked, NOt expected at all. After calling pc richard many times i got my microwave replaced ( but that was also a big battle i won after 3 months ) . Now it is doing it's job but i think it is not a greatly reliable product ,you would need for your kitchen. in my kitchen i have all Brand new samsung products ( cooking range, Fridge and more) . But after having this issue with this microwave i will think twice before buying a samsung product.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Samsung Microwave has many features
from Medina, Oh
This microwave has many features and performs very well, the installation isn't bad for a do-it-yourself. It is not light weight but if you mount the bottom plate good then there is no issue.

2 samsung kitchen appliances out of 4 are giving trouble
This microwave looks good but the electronics on it aren't very good. The fan comes on, on its on. Not because the range under it is being used either. I go weeks without cooking anything. I'm single male, so none of my products have been used very much. The led lights come on by themselves also. It didn't give any trouble until the warranty ran out. About 15 months after purchase. This product has been used less than 20 times. Very disappointed! It is still hooked up but you never know when something will come on, on its on. I'm a big samsung fan but after purchasing 4 samsung appliances for the kitchen, I will only be buying tvs and cell phones.

My husband and I took delivery of our new Samsung Microwave Oven on June 2, 2015. This microwave is solidly built and has a lot of great features including convection cooking. Functionality of all of its features are very intuitive. Various cook times whether you are microwaving or convection cooking match precisely to the users guide provided by Samsung.

Nice microwave/convection design
Awesome features. Dead after eight months. Look elsewhere.
Great Speed Oven for the Price
from Boston, MA, USA
I'm very happy with this oven. I purchased the older model on sale and love it. Roasts a 6 lb chicken in an hour and the results are juicy with a beautifull crisp skin. Convection bake works great and is a little faster than a regular non-convection oven but without heating up the kitchen as much. Overall it is a good value for a 110V speed type oven. Performance is comparable to the 110 V Advantium without the sticker shock. I've only had mine a month so reliability remains to be seen. My only cmplaint is the User's Manual/Cookbook is abysmal. The instructions are complicated and confusing. I re-wrote instructions for my family after I did several trial and error tests. LOL
Better than most

The dial feature is quite nice, being able to scroll from item types and setting the time. Still figuring out how to get the convection as a time saver, but having the second dry heat alone is a big help.
Confusing and tedious to learn...TOO MANY PRESET FEATURES!!!!
from Texas, USA
I have a Master's in Home Ec/Consumer Science and I find this appliance very confusing to figure out and learn. I used my old microwave (not convection) to cook a lot of different things not just reheat or cook convenience foods. I ordered this model when the turntable motor on my old micro went out and decided that buying a new unit and upgrading to a convection made more sense than repairing the old one. But I am disappointed in this unit, even tho Consumer Reports gave it a very high rating. I find all the preset buttons very confusing and tedious. I'd prefer having a micro that gave me basic instructions for cooking, roasting, etc., that I could apply to my existing recipes rather than try to figure out which preset feature is close to what I want to do. And I'd also like to have a number keypad, tho the dial does provide more detailed settings. However I have read that dials actually last longer than touchpads. But now a new feature has appeared that we didn't pay for! Out of nowhere, the fan will just come on, or the timer will go off, or the rangetop light will come on without anyone even near the unit! This has happened enough times that I know it's not the result of someone having accidentally touched the timer, light, etc. It's probably just a short in the circuit board, but it sure caught us off guard when it first happened.

The cooking directions that come with the Unit are very confusing. It takes a lot of time to figure out all the features. I wish Samsung would have a simple direction booklet online to show exactly how each cooking feature (Speed Cook, Slim Fry, Auto Cook, Bake, Roast, Brown, Speed Bake/Roast) is different from just Microwaving.
