Great design/features - controls in wrong place
from Jersey City, NJ, USA
Comments about Samsung 30" Free Standing Induction Range - Stainless Steel:
One of the few affordable ranges out there with induction top and convection oven. Looks great and so far so good. Only complaint so far is that you have to reach over the top to get to the controls - I'd like it better if they were at the front.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This range is probably just for a display not for cooking. Our fifth oven (same) just broke! The service guy ordered part be here 3-7 business days. ...not going to wait, it's going back where it came from and we are also done with Samsung brand!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The induction top does not work well at all. We have 2 portable induction cooktops that we have used for the past couple of years with no problem, so decided to buy this induction range. We have to move the pans around for sometimes up to 5 minutes before the stovetop picks up the pans and starts heating. Been working with this trying to see if there's a "trick" to this, with no luck. Then, the "straw that broke the camel's back". Night of July 3rd, put a pot of water on to boil to start cooking for the 4th of July. After about 5 minutes of moving the pan around, the burner turned on. Tended to something else, turned back to the stove & it was completely off. Flipped the circuit breaker, still nothing. Followed the trouble shooting instructions, still nothing. Now 5 days with no stove or oven. Told that a part had to be ordered. Then will have to wait for a repair person to come sometime during this very busy time to interrupt our summer plans. All for a brand new range that should work flawlessly, without having to "jimmy around" to get it to work. By the way, went back to the portable induction cooktops, which work with no problem, so the problem is not my pans.
looks great,works flawlessly
have used for about a month now, and can't say anything negative. love the dual and keep warm burners. Convection oven is great for beer can chicken! Have used the convection feature a couple of times now, and love it, Just wish there was a cooking time conversion chart.
Really Enjoy the new Samsung Stove
It is really nice to cook with something that is easy to manage and clean up messes big and small. The oven is great to use. Just set it and it takes care of itself. Constantly using the oven to cook with. Creates a nice even heated meal.
Cooktop not well thought out
from Mojave, CA
I'm a little disappointed with this induction range. I had hoped with the good rating their next higher level model had from a leading consumer review site, that this would be a good choice. I went to eight different appliance dealers in the Los Angeles area and none of them had one in stock to look at. When the induction works, it is one of the best cooking experiences I've ever had. My biggest issue is that I can't really use any induction-ready pan with a base smaller than 6 inches in diameter. I even bought a highly rated stainless steel hob and it causes the cooktop to overheat faster than it works to heat up my smaller pans. The placement of the smaller induction burner in the back, immediately in front of the controls means I risk burns trying to make changes when I'm using my bamboo steamer on top of a stainless steel pan. I was surprised that it works well with a couple of my cheaper frying pans. However, I was disappointed that my trusty cast iron griddle/grill pan won't work with both FlexCook burners. I purchased this model especially because of the FlexCook option. I also wish I'd been able to see the back of the range before I purchased it. We paid an electrician to install the proper connection, but it's sticking so far out that the range is pushed three inches out from the wall. If I'd been able to see the back, I would've known to have them install it much lower. Despite the cooktop, the oven is wonderful. It heats up quickly and so far everything I've baked has turned out great. I do not recommend this model.
modern day way to cook

This is to a stove top like a microwave is to an oven. It is super fast to heat up, control. I describe it as awesome.
Great Induction Range with a few little quirks that can be lived with.
The Induction/Convection Range is a good value for your dollar. Providing you know about Induction and how to use the cook top. Cooktop downfall there are two rear burners and although the manual says they both take a 5-1/2" pot they don't. one side take 6" or more the other takes the 5-1/2" The convection oven portion is a wonderful way to cook your food with hot circulating air. Speeds up the cooking time. The push buttons on the range are self explanatory and easy to use. Bottom Storage drawer: Design This is the flimsiest drawer that I have ever seen. the track doesn't go all the way to the rear of the stove and consequently if you pull the drawer all the way out it won't go back in properly you have to fight with it. This design could of been greatly improved. Also the flimsiness of the drawer itself is as thin as a cookie sheet .This should of been a better design.
Lives up to reputation

Since starting our kitchen renovation we have been purchasing Samsung products, including our 5.9 cu. ft. Freestanding Full Induction with True Convection oven. While we did initially experience an error message (and three repair attempts) we have since found the range to be the best range we have ever owned! It will boil liquids (water, soup, etc.) in amazing time while the oven cooks foods much faster than conventional ovens could ever dream of.

Samsung Induction cooktop

Love the stove. Easy to use, works superbly, the only thing I do not like is the storage drawer at the bottom. Not easy to put on the track and does not slide open with ease. Saves time and money with how quickly induction heats and does not make the kitchen hot, a real plus.
