Comments about Samsung 4.5 Cu. Ft. Top Loading Washer - White:
Purchased this top load washer to replace Maytag washer purchased just 5 years ago. I heard good reviews with Samsung products and so far I am now an avid fan. My first Samsung product is a 42 inch Smart TV. Followed by Samsung Bluray player and recently a Samsung android phone. I love this washer. Not only does it look good inside and outside but it's super quiet compared to traditional washers. I had to re-train myself and read the manual front to back to make sure I am operating it correctly. Very easy to use. If you can handle smart phones then you can learn to use this. I especially love the see thru glass to see what's going on inside the washer. I have to get used to the new design nowadays of agitator-less washers. I just have to trust that small agitator in the bottom is just as good as the old style agitator of old washers. I hope I get more than 5 years of service on this beautiful Samsung washer.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Unsure At First But A Great Purchase
For all those out there that are advocates for the agitator clothes washer as I was, give this Samsung a try. I was unsure, with mixed feelings about buying an HE washer. I had heard many things about it that were negative. I would say, try it, you may convince yourself if you have an open mind. Things you need to know: 1. Forget about the agitator--forget it!!!! Forget the huge amount of water our clothes would swim in while the agitator beat your clothes up---forget it!!! Think of the principle that your Mom did when there was a stain in the clothes---she would take some stain remover or detergent and grab that area of clothing between her hands and would rub vigorously to help get that stain out. Well, these HE machines use that principle. 2. Forget the large amount of detergent you used to add. And also the large amount of fabric softener. This HE machine needs only a couple of tablespoons of detergent and about the same softener. If you use more you are just wasting detergent and then there is the risk of not getting all the detergent out when the clothes rinse. MORE is not better!!!!!!!! 3. Forget the 30 minute wash cycle on the agitator machine. Okay, it takes longer. If you are in such a rush to wash your clothes, slow down and smell the roses for a change. If you are in a rush, go to the laundromat- use several of the agitator machines and beat your clothes up and then throw them in one of those blast furnace dryers they have there..... Just organize your schedule a bit differently to accommodate this change. It really is not a huge deal, in my opinion. 4. Forget that you need your clothes swimming in gallons and gallons of water to get them clean. Yeah, this one was hard for me to understand because some loads looked like they are barely wet. But I have yet to not have a good wash cycle and the clothes are well rinsed. So, these 4 things are hard to break away from when you move on from an agitator machine to a HE machine. This Samsung has proven to me that it works and works well!!!! I still have to wonder sometimes how it does such a good job. I have read past reviews about people complaining that the machine makes weird noises when it is washing. Yeah, it does but I have not seen any issues with that. Just like the music tune it plays at the end of the cycle. It is soothing and less stressful. If you can't hear it then set a timer on your stove or your phone to "Beep" at you if you rather. All in all a great machine in my opinion. One last idea----READ the manual from cover to cover (or at least the English part). The one con I would say with any of today's machines is that they are not built like the old ones that were 15+ yrs old. My old machine weighed a ton (all steel gears, metal outer tub, anything that moved seemed to be made of metal). These new machines are a LOT lighter because so much plastic is used today so they won't hold up nearly as long. The retailers say newer machines may hold up only for about 10 yrs now.

Does not clean clothing
from Webster, NY 14580, USA
We purchased this washer over 3 months ago, big mistake. It just does not clean our clothing. We have to spot treat every thing and still spots and stains remain. We have a Samsung service person check out the machine(after several phone calls and a 3-4 weeks waiting from service) he told us that everything was working as designed.. We now get a little better cleaning by pre-spotting, using only the 80 min blanket cycle and post rinse. Still clothing are still not clean. We will end up throwing out this machine and replacing it with the old fashion type. Please don't make the same mistake we made.

Excellent Washer with lots of features
from Parma, OH, USA
This is my 1st HE Washer. I looked at others and decided on this one. Very large tub which I was looking for. Can wash 3 loads at a time. Was a little leary at the water level with an HE, but have gotten use to it. My cloths come out very clean. Cleaner then my old washer that died. I did however, calibrate my machine before I used it as they said in the book and have not had any problems. I do like the different wash features. I also purchased the matching dryer.
My Samsung washer has a catchy ringtone at the end of the cycle.
WORST washer ever!!!!!!
This is literally the WORST washer ever. It claims that you can wash more clothes because of the large capacity, but you can't fill it up with clothes because the water level is so low that it doesn't even get all of the clothes wet. You can't adjust the water level because it is suppose to be weigh the wash load and set the water level accordingly. I actually wash LESS clothes so that there is room in the washer so that it all gets into the water and has room to wash the clothes. I literally have to pause each load to check to make sure that all the clothes are pushed down into the water to get washed. I have actually resorted to washing large loads on the bedding cycle, which takes 80 minutes, so that there is enough water in the drum. Invest in spray stain remover because you will need to drench your kids clothes in them since the washer doesn't swish them around very well. I've owned this washer for 10 months and would return it if I could.
the Worst machine ever!!!!!!
from Oklahoma City, OK, USA
I have owned this hunk of junk for about 6 months and have regretted ever wash load. I have yet to have clothes come out clean, it takes hours to wash a load because it has to readjust the load at least twice and then I have to stop the washer, adjust the load by hand, and hope for a spin cycle. I have tried small wash loads, larger wash loads and it still doesn't work. Save yourself the frustration and get a good ole machine with a middle agitator.

Good price Poor performance
from SE Oklahoma
Having been Samsung customers on other products we bought this washer with matching dryer from the quality we have got use to. After three months of trying everything we have got use to the idea that we'll have to keep a spray bottle of stain remover close by. We have rebalanced recalibrated and added a little water to bring the water level up and used several different detergents. We like the looks and features this machine have but if you put the clothes in dirty, like working in the garden dirty, they'll come out dirty.
