Please read. Worst experience eve with a TV

DO NOT BUY THIS OR ANY SAMSUNG TV. I purchased my very first Samsung TV in October of 2015. For about 6 months the tv functioned properly and had an above decent picture. A lot of blur issues compared to many LG tvs I own, but for the most part really liked the TV until June 24th 2016 the picture went black with no picture and with sound. I called the customer service number which re directed me to the office in the Philippines. It was very difficult communicating with the representative but after about 45 minutes was able to schedule service which was 2 weeks. Was told it was the first available appt. So after waiting 2 weeks the repairman came to my home only to do diagnostics on the TV to then tell me I need a new main board which he would return in 2 weeks to install. This brings us to July 18th I know this caus it was my birthday and spent the day waiting for the repairman in which he installs the new main board and low and behold the TV still does not work. He says he needs to order another part and would try to have it overnighted and would return the following day. Later that day I get a call the part is on back order with no time table as to when it will be in. At this point I am livid. I call Samsung and explain the situation and request either a new Replacement TV or a refund. I was told this needed to be reviewed and someone would call me in 24-48 hours with a decision. Of course no one calls and after waiting 4 days I call back to be put on hold for 45 minutes to get connected with the dept. that handles these issues. I was then told my request has been denied and would need to wait for service. Many phone calls and pleads later I finally get a refund granted. Had to supply receipt and bank info and 2 months after my tv broke I finally got my money minus taxes. I requested a coupon to supplement the new taxes I need to pay and was once again denied. I will never ever purchase another Samsung product again. The customer service is the worst by far!!!!!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
