This product is great! It`s simple and has the features I need

Comments about Samsung Gear Fit - Black:
The first thing to notice about this product is the design. It is a good design, lightweight, good to read notifications (it`s my main use nowadays) and to navigate through the system. The biggest difference from this product to similar ones are the features, with Gear Fit you can read notifications, use S Health, customize the Clock to the Samsung ones and some downloaded, control a Windows PC - I`ve downloaded an app that does it on App Connect in Gear Fit Manager. It`s a good product overall to use with my smartphone.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Couldn't make it a year
from Seabrook, TX, USA
Bought the Samsung Gear for my wife, she immediately made it part of her arm and began to worry when she didn't have it on. Amazing...my wife is a techno-phobe and this she loved. I bought it last June for her birthday and yesterday 3/15/2015 it died, we had a ceremony. It appears that the only button (mechanical) collapsed...as if the stainless steel dome below just gave up. Usually these domes are rated in the millions of button pushes. Not this one. I'm going to look around and see if there is a more robust unit on the market that will fill the void, the rating should be 5's across the board, but it just didn't last.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Can only enter 4 exercises and not compatible with most popular fitness apps
from Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA
I thought that this would be cutting edge, but it is not. I cannot track any exercise if it's not walking, running, hiking or cycling. If this were at least compatible with apps that allow me to track other exercises, I would be happy, but its not. From what I read, it used to be a feature of S Health but was taken away. I'd really like to know what the logic behind that was.
I love this watch, BUT
from San Diego, CA, USA
It would get 5 stars except for one thing... the re-booting recycle mode. When this phone is working I love it but right now it is on the way back to Samsung to be reset one more time. What ever causes this should be an easy upgrade.
Unhappy after only owning for about 2 months
The watch got stuck in a reboot loop as others have mentioned within first couple months of owning. now trying to send back to samsung to see if they can fix it. we will see how this goes.
It needs a little work
lit very nice. It does need some changes. I would like more exercise options.
Good but not usable with trackers.
from New Jersey
I enjoy my Gear Fit, but now that I am trying to track my progress with a group I can't use the information from my Gear Fit in any trackers. It seems to only work with SHealth and a few SHealth friendly apps but nothing else. It seems that almost all the competitors are available to share their data except Samsung. This has made me consider Selling this and getting something from a competitor. It may have a nice screen and such but the fact that it is so locked down is discouraging. As of now the only data I can share is on my phone and nothing else, so my Running and Exercise never gets shared since the tracker has no access to that I guess. I am a big Samsung user and I chose the Gear Fit over others because it was Samsung, I am now regretting that loyalty.
Love some of the features but...
from District Heights, MD 20747, USA
I really wanted to love this watch, it has so many features that I love for example Find my phone feature. But I bought it as a pedometer and I counted 20 steps before the watch started counting and with other pedometers I could run in place and the steps are counted but not with this one. And can someone from Samsung explain why I have to look at two different S health screens to get a total of my steps (I am using a Note Edge). This is the most ridiculous and easy to fix situation. Rather than toggling from the watch to the phone combine them. Example when I have to charge my watch I carry my phone and when I am at work I have my watch on combine those steps together. Checking my sleep is pretty accurate however, having to set it and turn it off is a pain. Especially when your trying to get the kids to bed and wake them up. One fix is to have it automatically detect lack of movement for some time and go into sleep mode or on the phone the person can set their bedtime and it goes into sleep mode that way. Features I loved Find my Phone ( I must have used it 3 times at home) Notifications on the phone Added apps like flashlight, calender, camera launch, Features I liked Pedometer (would love it they would work as one) Heart rate (would love it would be continuous) It's a beautiful, light weight smart watch that needs an upgrade. It has so many features but the ones that truly count need improvement. (Pedometer, Heart rate, Sleep mode)
This looks real pretty - and is a total waste of money
from Montana, USA
Don't buy it. For some reason I decided to buy one and put my FitBit in the drawer. The display sold me... it's a complete waste of money - I can guarantee that I walk more than 0 steps... yet that's what the display says... My FitBit shows 8734 steps... bit of a difference - don't chaya think? Don't buy it!

this product has the cheapest band
the band uses only two small metal studs into plastic holes to secur it to you wrist. it has fallen off 6 times. timex watches have better wrist bands.
