I would NEVER buy this product again

About Me Casual Cook
Comments about Sharp 1.1 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave - Black on Black:
After my 20-year-old Sharp microwave gave out, I bought another at PC Richards. It worked for 13 months and then died. For $20, Sharp agreed to send me a replacement, which didn't work at all. Sharp sent another, which also didn't work. The next one -- the third in a few weeks -- worked...for 10 months. It's dead now too. I'm done with Sharp, obviously. (Sharp's consumer reps are nice enough, by the way. But the products appear to fail with appalling regularity.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

About Me Avid Cook
Works well, but the biggest flaw in this product is the horribly designed carousel. Its very difficult to reinstall the glass tray if it comes out of alignment. The plate sits on the most flimsy, cheap set of wheels I've ever seen in my life. I would take one fall of the cheap plastic wheel assembly for it to break. The tray easily get out of alignment and its rather annoying. Considering a working carousel is vital to the product working, they've designed the product in such a way that it easily breaks. The controls take some time to get adjusted to. It heats food up efficiently. I'm happy on these two points, but with a food tray assembly that might break at any moment, I may soon end up replacing this product, but not with this brand.
