Comments about Sharp 6,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner:

this works just fine as a bedroom AC. Yes, it makes noise. Air conditioners make noise. I wouldn't describe it as 'whisper quiet' but it is no louder than most AC's I've had in my life. Super energy efficient, cools a small room / bedroom and then contributes to cooling the hallway once we open the door. added bonus is that you can open the whole front of the unit to clean the filter and front of the air intake (unlike a slide out filter).

Comments about Sharp 6,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner:

That was the unit recommended from the sales person as the quietest one... Super disappointed and will have to return it. The I FEEL function "feels" nothing, if used the room gets way to cold than the desired setting. The Energy save mode is useless - it doesn't cool to the desired temperature. The compressor is so LOUD and annoying that the only way to sleep is either not using the AC at night or buying ear plugs. Thanks but I'll pass :) There are much cheaper units that will either be as loud or even less noisy than this overpriced tractor.

Comments about Sharp 6,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner:

Cools the room nicely but is too loud for use in a bedroom in my opinion. I own an older Sharp window A/C that is much quieter than this one.
